Fed up with the GOP Establishment? That's no reason to stay home on Election Day
American Thinker ^ | 9/26/2014 | Carol Brown

With the mid-term elections weeks away, many conservatives are confronting a difficult choice. Assuming there are no solid conservatives on the ballot, do we vote for establishment candidates? Or not vote at all?

The reasons why some conservatives are on the fence or planning not to vote are well known. (And Democrats are loving every minute of it!)

I share these frustrations.

Being a native Texan, I can say the best vote I'd ever cast besides Ronald (I really miss’ya)Reagan is for Ted Cruz.

Awesome statesman representing Texans! If he runs for president, my time, talent and treasure will go to help elect this man to the highest office of the land.

We need staunch conservatism for a decade or more in an effort to stop/turn back this all out sprint toward hardcore socialism/Marxism. landscape.

Moderate republican candidates will only exacerbate the crisis in our nation.

You may be anxious for us to "hit rock bottom" as soon as possible, but I personally don't care to take that trip with you.

Leni

If only you could chose not to take that trip, I would chose not to do so as well. Unfortunately we are all taking the trip whether we like it or not.

We are making a difference....the Republican Party is moving to the right. I know there are rinos out there ,I get it, but we have to prevent the liberals from taking over more than purging the rinos. The primaries are where we need to wage the battle. We can’t take more liberal supreme court justices or more years of Harry Reid!!!

“Why should I vote for people who stand next to democrats and effectively state “Me, too!”..........

“They have sat complacent while our republic has been defiled by vicious socialist scum.”..........

Tell me again exactly WHY I should vote for Rhino’s again?

Because we would know who the enemy is...

Sounds like a plan to me.

You are making light of a serious situation. A Republican Senate will be Little Different from a Democrat Senate. In any case, very little can happen without the acquiescence of the House which we already control and will continue to control.

About the only thing the Senate can do at this point is approve Obama's Nominees, which our Republocrats have been doing almost as enthusiastically as the Democrats.

We badly need to destroy candidates who have resorted to vile and evil tactics to attack the reform movement known as the Tea Party. We need to retaliate against these traitors worse than we need control of the Senate, which as I pointed out will little matter anyway. (Obama retains Veto Power)

Better to lose a battle than to lose the war. Destroying Traitors must always come before destroying enemies.

I had not seen that poster but it says it all. This election is not just about winning the Senate but about vindicating the despicable tactics used by the GOPe aristocrats. If they should win those seats, they will use that victory as justification for their tactics. Your comments are head on.

You think you will eradicate the vermin by empowering Reid and Obama?

Don’t think so. You will have the real vermin gain 10 times the power...and entrench themselves maybe forever.

Nonsense. Both Grimes and Childers are barely able to win in Kentucky and Mississippi. They are one termers. They wouldn't even be serious contenders were it not for the backstabbing of their own party perpetrated by McConnell and Cochran.

In six years, both of them will be out of there. Conservative states will simply not keep them. Again, they only have a chance now because people are *SO* P*ssed off at McConnell and Cochran.

Having McConnell in Charge is little different from Having Reid in Charge. McConnell simply doesn't fight the Obama agenda.

If Ginsberg retires as soon as Holder resigns, and there’s a lame duck with Reid in charge, and they already have invoked the nuclear option, then we could have Holder as a Scotus justice by December.
It is possible to prevent that just because the time is so short. Hearings, committees, etc. make that a hard thing to do..

However, if the democrats keep the Senate, then there is no way to prevent Holder from becoming a supreme court justice.

I wonder if the democrat shenanigan campaign machine minions are posting on conservative websites masquerading as conservatives for the purpose of dividing the Republican electorate. I want the democrats out first and foremost, they have screwed the country too much already!

Thank you Troll. One way to get Conservatives to stay home.

Conservatives do not need to stay home. In Mississippi and Kentucky they need to turn out in force and vote for the Democrat. It is the only way to teach the GOPe a lesson about using race baiting tactics against their own side.

I agree. There is a huge group of either trolls pushing conservatives to hate their own party, or a bunch of whining, hating, complainers, who are sabotaging the election by promoting not voting for Republicans....this is treason by our own conservatives not understanding the consequences of their actions.

No. This is Treason.

Destroying people who would do such a thing is righteous justice.

if the bastard gains control of the executive AND legislative branches in November.

They will not gain control of the house, so they won't gain control of the legislative branch. As for the Senate, there is little difference whether RINOS control it, or Democrats.

Judges are in for life.

And Obama's judges are being confirmed with Republican votes right now. You expect that to change? A Republican Senate will still confirm Obama's judges, and that is the problem we are trying to fix.

Who said anything about staying home? There are plenty of down ballot races with conservatives that need our vote.

As far as the senate, I have not heard even one specific beneficial policy change that would happen with a GOP senate but Obama in the whitehouse. I can list plenty of harmful policies that rinos could support. There is no benefit and plenty of potential harm. I’ll be leaving the rino races blank on my ballot. That sends a far stronger message than staying home. It means I went to the polls and went out of my way to NOT vote for the rino.

Nonsense.

No, it's not nonsense. Obama will issue the EO's right, left and center and the EPA will shut down business dramatically thru radically increased mandates.

The greens and gays will be encouraged to continue their agenda and there will be more oppression of religious groups.

This is what Obama and Reid are all about. If you can't oust Reid now this movement will never be ousted.

We DON’T HAVE that amount of time. Think ahead. Illegal immigrant voters, dual-citizen voters who enter the US for ‘voter vacations’. If that’s what you want, let the rats win again. And when that happens, I will sit out EVERY election. Why bother at that point?

Have you not been noticing that the Republicans are pushing Amnesty as hard if not harder than the Democrats?

Better to lose a battle than to lose the war. Destroying Traitors must always come before destroying enemies

A statement of a modern-day Sun-Tzu.

In contrast to what we are told regularly by the GOP that "hispanics are by nature conservative", the most recent Pew poll on how immigrants think about government, "hispanics" -- legal and illegal -- polled at 70 percent for bigger government and more government services. The RINOs (i.e., Republican Party leaders) know this, despite what they say.

So, having no intention of securing the southern border and having every intention of granting amnesty to millions of these illegal Mexicans (a huge voting bloc), the GOPEs know they must continue to promote larger and larger government and offer more and more welfare benefits rather than uphold the U.S. Constitution. Continuing to elect RINOs/GOPEs only slows this process down a little whereas the Democrat-Socialists want to accelerate it.

It calls to mind the frog in the heated water scenario. So it seems to me if we don't stand in the way of speeding up the process by continuing to elect RINOs, then maybe -- just maybe -- the voters in this country might start to notice its rapid decline ...

Conservative voters yet again are asked to vote to cut power from the self serving elites in Washington.

And every time you spend that capital on a leftist outrage, you add another tooth to the shark. Eventually, you have a swarm of Great Whites tearing away at the DNC.

Would that the DNC was the only source of leftist outrage.

My first trip by air was the Eastern Shuttle from Newark to DC. If I recall it was about $16, no reservation required and I boarded the plane without any identification.

Thanks to George Bush, I need “travel papers” now, which I thought were only required in countries ruled by dictators. Instead of having the courage to keep Muslims out of our country as undesirables (just like we keep Nazis out) he decided the entire country had to undergo a lock down.

What was that you were saying about the EPA?
