Police arrested seven suspects Wednesday night after they allegedly went on a rolling spree, while armed with knives and boxcutters, and stole cell phones and other items from six different victims in three separate robberies.
The robberies began at 5:35 p.m. when suspects, driving around in a green Chevrolet Suburban, robbed an 18-year-old man who was walking near Greenleaf Park at 1187 Parker St., Sgt. John Delaney said.
The victim told police that seven suspects, wielding knives, took his iPad and cell phone.
The second armed robbery occurred about 30 minutes later in the area of 62 Malden St. Delaney said the two victims told police that seven suspects, again riding in the green Suburban, wielded knives and boxcutters as they robbed them of their cell phones.
The Suburban was driven by a female, the victims said.
“Every police officer in the city was now on the lookout for this vehicle,” Delaney, public information officer for the department, said.
About ten minutes later, the suspects, again wielding boxcutters and knives, allegedly piled out of the green Suburban one more time and stole cell phones and a gold necklace from three victims as they walked along Sherman Street in the Mason Square area.

They are probably lucky they were arrested before they ran across a “victim” who was carrying.
When seconds count, the police are driving for 10 minutes around looking for the robbers, while they get their next victim.
A much better headline would have been “Armed robber shot and killed by intended victim, 5 accomplices charged with murder.”
Obviously, a group of Amish utes out and about terrorizing law abiding citizens!
