Will Perez take over? If Obama doesn’t appoint another black to the position watch all the gloves come off!

Please let this be true. I haven’t heard any news on this. Good riddance to this POS. We can deal with his crimes later.

I think the thinking here is that Obama wants to get Holder's replacement conformed before the GOP takes over the Senate . . .

That works for me as well. A bruising confirmation battle in a lameduck session means less time for other mischief such as amnesty.

After Holder retires he will spend his time fighting off his numerous lawsuits

I'm sure he already has a presidential pardon in his pocket. Or some sort of executive order freeing him from prosecution for the good of the country.

You better spend some time contemplating.

I am not sure the GOP has ‘completely alienated its conservative base’.

Don’t believe the House is in play and some thought should be given to supreme court replacements.

I’m thinking the GOP must be closer to prosecuting the POS than I thought.

Yeah, right.

But will a presidential pardon make him lawsuit-proof?

Reading between the lines here: Eric Holder will not vacate the position UNTIL his successor is confirmed. There is an outside chance that the Senate will take up the confirmation process BEFORE the election in November, in a rump session, and almost certainly before the new Senate membership is seated in January.

Holder would be well advised to take an extended vacation outside the jurisdiction of US judicial system, as it seems unlikely he will totally avoid consequences should he remain on US soil.

Headwinds is the right term for what Holder faces, and that is not how you want to be turned toward while urinating.

“I’m not sure at all how Holder resigning relates to how the electorate will vote in November.”

Another one of those “October Surprises!” The Half-Breed’s “friends” are deserting him.

.

- After AG Eric “of the Marc Rich pardon/bribery fame” Holder and Obama (even at the UN) illegally got involved with the Ferguson Missouri BS - (tainting the pre-trial PR and any jury) - we now have the Hanna/Virginia missing/abducted /murdered case with videos of a big black thug running off to Texas (now caught from tips) without one single word -

- Holder just said American law enforcement is rascist and corrupt and targets barracks - well the police unions have exploded and Holder is outta there without ever complying with the Fast & Furious Obama-Holder gun-running shemes subpoenas - drug cartels names are coming to the surface - connected to the “Invasion of the 60000 (plus) poor Hispanic Chilhuns”

- Obama is throwing Holder under the bus as new information has surfaced about his role in the pardoning of fugitive felon Marc Rich who ran to Switzerland to escape prisontime in the US for looting corporate pension funds - bribery and funds paid by the Clintons shows up just as an drunken and unhealthy Hillary is running once again for Empress of the Universe -

Law Enforcement nationwide plus the Border Patrol are hot and the November nationwide elections are coming on like a runaway freight train...

- Exit Dirty Eric - seen on Fox this morning involved in the “No Butts On The Ground” mess and iSUKZ - his future client -

- more to come soon -

.

He can still be corralled when out of office and prosecuted for his dereliction and malfeasance . In fact it may even be easier.

It don't mean squat. He will be replaced by someone that is as crooked or worse that he is. As far as prosecution goes; there is a higher chance hell will freeze over than he will be prosecuted.

I don't know why he resigned, but the prospect of the GOP taking the Senate is not it. I do believe that there is an ulterior motive.

He can no longer use his office to shield him from Congressional investigations. He’s been found in Contempt and could be imprisoned to compel his cooperation with investigations such as Fast & Furious

Congress probably has what they need to fry most of the IRS. Prosecuting them would take the AG. Now there isn’t an AG.

Someone will take over Holder's responsibilities even if he leaves before a replacement is confirmed. Prosecution needs the OFFICE of the attorney general, not the attorney general himself. IIRC, it is the solicitor general who does all the heavy lifting in the AG office and is the one who actually performs as an attorney.
