“imminent attack”
In my mind “imminent” means they are past the planning stage. The terrorists have shaved their bodies, getting drunk, sleeping with whores and eating pork ribs.
Imminent is not a descriptive which should be used for political purposes.

Maybe I missed it, but if there was an Imminent Threat surely the threat level was raised. (rhetorical statement)

What we see today in the “fight” against terrorism is a version of gang warfare mixed with the usual political corruption.
During WWII when this state was dry...a joke, my family's property backed up to one of the biggest bootleggers in the area. He did not mess with moonshine. It was all bottled and bond imported in tractor trailers from the north.
Many times we would hear doors slammed, cars being loaded with people, and tires screeching as they roared off.
About five minutes later, the sheriff's deputies would come down the road, sirens and lights on, to raid the house. Of course, they were too late.
This same scene happened over and over and became a local joke.
We are seeing a much more serious version of this today in obumnbler’s fake war on ISIS.
I can not understand how the public can be so bland as to not see that we have the most monstrous traitor of history in our White House.
Unless the public catches on, very soon we are doomed.
No mystery here, all one has to do is look at Bam’s cabinet, or one wouldn’t be surprised if the coward in chief gave the scumbags a heads up.

Ever heard of “diversion”? Its not the actual act of bombing the buildings, it the impression that odumbo did something to thwart ISIS’s activities.
I have yet to hear anything about “head count” of those killed. How many were ISIS and how many were innocent civilians?
