I’m going to ask ahead of time if writing-in McDaniel will spoil my entire ballot. If NOT, that’s precisely my plan.

Try to get something in writing if you can. But do inquire as high up the latter
as you can go. I would think it would only spoil the race which the write in was
placed but I’m not familiar with MS statutes.
This is going to be interesting race and in traditional off presidential years the
turnout is much lower. We’ll see what the effect will be this time.
My predictions and I have no knowledge of MS politics as such. But I believe if
Cochran wins he’ll retire sometime after being sworn in and the Gov. will appt a
replacement capable of wining the election in the next election cycle after his
retirement. I personally think that is what the machine is banking on. JMO.
My review of MS election statutes is that there is a space on the ballot for a write-in candidate and there is nothing stopping you from writing in McD but...it won’t be counted.
However, it has been reported that if no candidate gets at least 50% + 1 in November, then there will be a runoff and McD can be included on the runoff ballot.
So write him in!
OKay! Thank you very much.
