Homeland Secretary Shows Little Concern Over Open Border Terror Threat
Townhall ^ | Sep 18, 2014 | Katie Pavlich

During an answer to another lawmaker about how to prevent terrorists from going undetected inside the United States, Johnson made the absurd argument that a "legal process" for citizenship would prevent terror infiltration and encourage terrorists to come forward and turn themselves in.

That suggestion is not only unhelpful but politically motivated garbage. Second, if Johnson got out of his cushy D.C. office once in awhile to actually talk to Border Patrol agents on the ground, he would know that radical Islamists crossing the southern border into the United States from Mexico is nothing new.

Unfortunately, a lack of enforcement from Homeland Security to stop those crossings isn't new either. What is new in this scenario is a threat from ISIS and intelligence agencies have picked up chatter in the past few weeks showing the terror army is looking at the southern border as a possible way to gain access to the United States. Homeland Security officials have also confirmed this possibility in testimony to Congress.

Is Johnson another Democrat who finds out what is going on when he finally reads a newspaper? I saw this and can't figure out what he thinks his job is? There a Foxnews clip where they discuss this at the Town Hall link.

That’s because the law-abiding, convervatives, Christians, Whitey McCracker-Honkeys, and Republicans (non-GOP-E) are the real terrorists!

Wikipedia: Johnson is active in Democratic Party politics, as a fundraiser and adviser to presidential campaigns. Johnson served as special counsel to John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign, and was an early supporter of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, active as a foreign policy adviser and as a member of his national finance committee.

My reaction as well.

Methinks he’s fresh out of a 1-on-1 at the Oval Office...

Homeland’s a waste of money and time. They’re not protecting anyone other than Democrat liberal elites... and the only ‘enemy’ they know is a “white middle class middle ages man’... a traditional honest American”. You doubt? Look at their ‘terrorist videos’.

We’ll know who to blame then if and when an attack happens and it can be traced to our open borders.

They don’t consider it a threat. They consider it part of the “fundamental transformation” of the nation.

The Department of Homeland Security isn't about security.

And it's not about our homeland, either.

I believe the administration has given carte blanche agreement to whatever anyone says ... just so long as they don't DO anything.

Johnson could have said the re-incarnation of Mama Cass distracted the data inputters and the memo was never typed and sent but that they're working on it.

After the next WTC even, everyone will be blaming these open borders for making it possible.

They’ll all say it’s Bush’s fault, of course.

“I don’t know whether it would help or not. But if, instead of my turning you in...you went and turned yourselves in...juries sometimes look very favorably on things like that.”

Capt. Culpepper (Spencer Tracy) in “It’s a Mad,Mad, Mad, Mad World”.

Homeland Security is, indeed, being led by a big, dumb, muscle-headed moron.
