MOSCOW (AP) -- Thousands of people are marching through central Moscow to demonstrate against the fighting in Ukraine and Russia's alleged complicity in the conflict.

An Associated Press reporter estimates the crowd at about 20,000, although the city police department put the number at about 5,000.

The demonstrators are chanting slogans including "No to war" and "The junta is in the Kremlin, not Kiev."

Did you see the thread I posted less than a minute before this one?

Shlosberg’s newspaper reported in August on the funerals of two 76th Guards paratroopers, Leonid Kichatkin and Alexander Osipov.

Kichatkin’s widow, Oksana, announced her husband’s funeral on her social media page. When reporters began asking about her husband, the post was replaced with one claiming he “is alive and well.”

And when reporters called the Kichatkin home, the phone was answered by a man pretending to be Oksana’s dead husband.

WUM?

Must be a lot of freedom on the internet in Russia.

You (wetphoenix) know the latest internet acronym, WUM.

Or are you referring to the third biggest town in the North West Region of Cameroon.

Nope, I haven’t seen your post. In fact it is all looks a bit confusing. If there is really a heavy military presense in Ukraine where are more evidence to it? I was almost convinced the day they shown a dozen captured kids who later said they have lost their way which may be true or more like a bullcrap but it is still a single incident and it was somehow explained so it is still might be true.
If indeed there is a full-scale invasion there are might be more evidence and Ukrainians aren’t helping themselves with ridiculous propaganda, like camouflaged T-64 tanks claimed to Russian T-72s, their denial of shelling of residential areas by government forces, stories of 1000s Russian regular casualties etc. I’m yet to see a single piece of equipment unique to the Russian forces there. I haven’t so far. It is not that Russian media and government are 100% credible, but Ukrainian side is a blatant liar which is 100% non-credible. So does Russian liberal NGOs supporting their version.
invasion doesn’t compute in my head on Que Bono basis too.
Is it worth attacking Ukraine militarily and become an object of criticism when it is about to fold under a weight of its own corruption? It might please some nationalist or communist leaning idiots domestically but does it worth it?
And for Ukraine playing a victim of aggression is all about to attract foreign aid and distract population from a failed economy. It is more interested in war than Russia.
It is just a thoughts. I might be wrong of course.

That's what you get for reading Russia Today, and parroting what you read here. Incidentally, that "camo" T-62? It may have looked different to you because it was a Russian T-72BM, not exported or otherwise available to the Ukrainians.

You are of course wrong. Some wonderful blinders you have on, though. Do you get them from RT wholesale? An example just from today of the dozens of articles detailing Russia’s direct invasion of Ukraine is here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3206301/posts

And you? Either you are Russian, or have never been to Russia and know nothing about it . . . haven’t put my finger on it, yet.

Isn't it crazy? Because there is no "full-scale" invasion, or no "heavy military presence" on the part of the Russians, there is no military presence or invasion. What fantastic comedy material.

That is what I’m referring too. If it was a Russian vehicle they would definitely shown it differently.
I’ve also seen another Ukrainian video claiming a capture of an Russian tank. It was filmed in a similar manner not to allow to identify a tank type, they also shown a Russian civilian passport claimed to belong to a crew member and a Russian credit card. Credit card might have been stolen and military personnel have different passports for id.
How can they be credible?

Ukraine crisis: T-72 tank shoots hole in Russian denial.

This [T-72, but not the one you pictured] variant, distinguished by the prominent Kontakt-5 Explosive Reactive Armour (ERA) arrangement - the boxes on the turret front - is commonly referred to by Western sources as the T-72BM.

It is operated by the Russian Army in large numbers, but crucially it is not known to have been exported or operated outside of Russia.

I don’t know why do they call it BM. It is a 1989 model T72B. Maybe a 1990, because they are similarly looking and differs only in engine and sensor suite.
And you can’t say where the picture was taken.

Perhaps you should forward your concerns (or your resume) to the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London.

You know for someone who admits he’s confused, you are very consistent in favoring the Russian version of events.

It is hard to comprehend for me because I can’t see reasoning behind alleged intervention. I can’t see objectives which aren’t attainable by diplomatic or economic means.
