Now Michelle Obama Wants to Control How You Shop for Groceries
TPNN ^ | July 18, 2014 | By Jennifer Burke

Michelle Obama has been on a quest to change the way Americans eat, like it or not. Her nutritional guidelines for schools has resulted in kids throwing away massive amounts of food, a reduction in school lunch program participation, students, especially athletes, complaining that the food isn’t enough to sustain them during the day, and Special Education programs losing their main fundraising program.

....

Now, Michelle Obama wants to take her nutritional demands from the school system nationwide with major changes being suggested by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to nudge Americans to purchase healthier foods. While the “expert panel” had a supposed target of the 47 million Americans, and growing, who are on food stamps, the suggestions will impact everyone who shops at a grocery store. The Washington Free Beacon reported on this attempt by the USDA, using Michelle Obama’s guidelines, to ‘nudge’ consumers on nutritional choices.

....

This plan to ‘nudge’ Americans to make healthier food choices includes high-tech, $30,000 grocery carts, “MyCart grocery cart,” which would help consumers know they have the appropriate amount of government approved food choices. The color-coded cart would have sections with sensors installed to praise the customer when they have a cart filled to its ‘healthy threshold.’ The report cited the cost for changing to the high-tech grocery cart for Safeway, Inc., which has 1,335 stores nationwide, would be $40.05 million.

To them that is a feature and not a bug.

Think of how much weight people will lose when they can’t afford to eat!

1. The food pyramid is a crock of shit. Too many grains, not enough fat.
2. I grow most of my own.
3. Your husband has made grocery shopping for what I don’t produce, hell.
4. FU Mooch.

Ever wonder who carries a concealed camera waist high at walmart?

Why only walmart?

Many of the same creatures exist at any large retailer.
Or the finest sections of Michigan Avenue, Chicago.

Who would like to discredit walmart?
K-mart?
How about the ma&pa store down the street?

Would you believe the paid union people who hate walmart?

Michelle Obama has been on a quest to change the way Americans eat, like it or not. …………………………... ….While the “expert panel” had a supposed target of the 47 million Americans, and growing, who are on food stamps, the suggestions will impact everyone who shops at a grocery store.

Considering so much of America's obesity is among those on welfare/EBT cards...seems that Michelle would set to limit these entitlement recipients to ONLY healthy choices. Michelle certainly needs her 'quest' to center on changing EBT users' grocery shopping habits.

Sodas, high fat entrees, snack foods, expensive 'luxury' foods, etc would all be verboten. Better yet, my suggestion would be welfare recipients be limited to 'shopping' at government warehouse commodities for their nutritional needs.

The basic foods (meats/fruits/vegetables/dairy/starches..etc) would be available. And perhaps meal planning, cooking/baking lessons would be available to all. Luxury items, high fat, high sugar, can be purchased at regular stores with their own money. Funds preferably earned at a learned vocation.

I believe in society providing a bonafide though temporary 'safety net' for those in dire needs. Those finding themselves in unfortunate circumstances. But in the Democrats 'buying' votes in the form of greatly expanding the welfare state...our society now experiences those in an entitlement permanent hammock.

Michelle change those habits that are now approaching a third generation of our citizens.

As long as they still have the little baskets, I can do just fine!

I’ve been doing fine for over 44 years, and i don’t need this skirt getting in my business!

I wouldn’t allow the Obama’s to enter my house, let alone a seat at my dining table.

If this tribal leader needs to skoool her people, the non-cursive crowd, on how and what to eat, fine with me, but that cow has absolutely no business in my life, PERIOD.

Pushing the grocery cart is the most exercise some of these freeloaders get, because they have to get home and watch TV.

When Mooch can run a 7 minute mile, and do outstanding in the Navy Women’s Physical Fitness test....well, then and only then we’ll listen to her suggestions. Until then she needs to sit down and shut up.

Oh, and one more thing... publish her health records showing she actually eats that way, and doesn’t have heart disease, high cholesterol, or any other signs of poor eating habits.

I would, too!

I really don’t like to shop, period. But I especially don’t like to grocery shop.

If Michelle gets her way with talking carts and food restrictions in grocery stores I can forsee a future war zone at the Winn Dixie.

Lately I’ve begun using Sam’s Club click ‘n pull service because then I’m not wandering around being tempted by things I don’t really need. It’s quite efficient as I imagine online grocery shopping would be and I do believe it saves me money. Plus I love just walking in, paying and walking out with my things!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I’d never listen to this airhead...not because she’s heavy, but because she has NO qualifications on which she can tell us how to eat (or anything else).

Amazon sells groceries as well.

They do, you’re right. I can’t wait until they bring delivery of produce and things to our city. I know Amazon already does that in 2 or 3 cities.

I wish her majesty would step away from her self anointed throne and get a hobby or learn a craft to keep her busy. Maybe then she could leave the rest of the nation alone and in peace. I don’t care what she eats nor feeds her kids and I wish she would kindly give all other Americans the right to make their own food choices. What parents eat, what other peoples kids eat, is none of her business. She does not have any Constitutional right or authority to tell others what to do or what to eat.

What is her next royal decree? Having hubby declare that in order to buy food one must have a government mark on their wrist or forehead? She is out of control. They both are.

Same here , gardening, fishing, hunting, a chicken coop and bartering for beef, pork and hunting rights with local farmers aka driving grain trucks during harvest for em keeps us away from the “store” shy of condiments, spices and tuna !

Moo’chelle can eat sh*t and bark at the moon for all I care ...... Erkel Mugabe and her have laid waist to almost a decade of potential for this nation ..... What’s the tab now 17 Trillion ? “We didn’t build dat” ..... Their acts and lack of action will take another decade to repair IMHO.

Grrrrrrrr....my opinion, stay safe !
