I’m not comfortable with the government dictating internal labor policies to private corporations. Seems sort of fascist to me.
I can’t wait for this same draconian punishment to be applied to other sports like basketball, hockey, baseball, boxing. etc. And when will this standard be applied to all occupations, whether private or civil servant? When will Congress lead the way by mandating that their members or their staff will immediately resign if found guilty of the same offenses punishable under Goodell’s pronouncement? Excuse me if I don’t hold my breath waiting for that day...

Maybe the NFL (which I boycott) and their sponsors are susceptible to federal heat because the NFL is set up as a non profit. They make billions of dollars profit and don’t pay taxes.
The NFL isn’t a private corporation. It’s set up as a non profit and therefore, since they don’t pay taxes, are a wholly owned subsidiary of the federal government ( whether they think so or not)
I bet you could say the same thing about CPAs and grocery store janitors, if you wanted to. The NFL’s best public relations move might be to videotape beatings by men in various lines of work and post them on Youtube, which is what’s now running the world, apparently.

They weigh in on anything that might distract the LowNo Info Voter from the abyssmal mess the economy, the immigration system, the middle east, eastern Europe, you name it is in.
