Boehner: You know what would help our economy? Immigration reform

Skip to 24:30 for the key bit. Admittedly, admittedly, this is as rote and innocuous a statement of support for amnesty as you’ll ever hear from a GOP leader — he even stresses that we need to secure the border first — but the closer we get to the lame-duck session, the more righties are going to parse his every belch for signs of a deal on immigration. And not just righties: The LA Times perked up upon hearing this today too. As the man himself says, the sooner we get this done, the better it’ll be for the GOP donor class America. Why not November?

This caught my attention too:

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus is backing off its demand that President Barack Obama act by Thanksgiving on executive action aimed at repairing the immigration system. Instead, the group is set to approve a resolution calling for action by the end of the holiday season, a timetable in line with what Mr. Obama is now promising.

The Hispanic lawmakers met this month with White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough to complain about Mr. Obama’s decision to punt executive action, which is to include a ratcheting back of deportations, until after the midterm elections. They asked that Mr. Obama act by Thanksgiving, but were told instead that the new deadline was by the end of the holiday season. That’s in line with what Mr. Obama had initially said.

Why did the CHC back down and decide to give Obama another month when he already screwed them a few weeks ago by postponing executive amnesty until winter? One theory is that it has to do with Mary Landrieu’s race in Louisiana. If neither she nor her GOP opponent, Bill Cassidy, hit 51 percent on election day in November, they’ll head to a runoff on December 6. And it’s quite possible that neither will: There’s a tea-party longshot also in the race who’s polling in the single digits, which won’t keep Cassidy out of the runoff but might keep him from hitting the 51 percent he needs to seal the deal in November. (A Fox News poll released a few days ago has Cassidy leading 51/38 but most surveys this year have him ahead by low single digits.) If that happens and then O drops an amnesty bomb around Thanksgiving, the outrage among Louisiana conservatives might be enough to sink Landrieu in December. Postponing the order until Christmas would keep this issue off the table until after they vote, which is in keeping with the White House’s strategy of avoiding the consent of the governed on immigration by all means.

There’s another possibility, though. By waiting until the very end of the year to issue an executive order on amnesty, Obama will leave Boehner more time during the lame-duck session to make a deal with Harry Reid on some sort of bill. I don’t think Boehner would do that, not because he doesn’t want to but because it’d be such a knee to the groin of conservative voters who turned out big for the GOP on election day that the party would spend the next year trying to recover from it. (Conservatives would dutifully line up for the nominee in 2016, though, needless to say.) But if you’re O, why not stand pat for awhile and give him a chance? Boehner desperately wants this issue off the table and the White House knows it, which is why Obama held off all summer on issuing his order. He knows that once he makes his move, it’ll kill any chance Boehner has to bring House GOPers on board. Better to wait as long as you can and see what Boehner’s willing to do. And if you’re willing to wait all summer, wait not wait until the end of the year too?

Agreed... ALL of them have been compromised in one way or another....each one bogged down in their own particular brand of corruption.... Integrity and principle are rare commodities in THAT part of town...

But...we are, after all, talking about LAWYERS...!

It won’t and Boehner can’t provide a chain of effects that would make sense. I think the reasons that Boehner cries a lot is due to the fact that he sold out, and he has a smidgen of religiosity left that propels him in the deceptive belief that his tears cleanses his soul.

That’s it. This Son of a Bitch MUST GO!!!!

He is nothing more than a bought and paid for WHORE to the US Chamber of Commerce. He KNOWS this would be horrible for America, but he cannot stop spreading his legs for the Johns of K Street.

He is willing to betray our nation for thirty pieces of silver. He sickens me to no end. He MUST be removed from his leadership position. THIS is one more reason Karl Rove is pissing and moaning for more money and volunteer efforts from the base. One more reason it isn’t forthcoming.

Boehner: You know what would help our economy? Immigration reform

WRONG, again! What would help our economy, would be closed the border, cutting all taxes in half, freezing government spending and having TERM LIMITS on all politicians.

Pro-amnesty American citizens must think that the rest of us 300,000,000 Americans are blind and stupid.

Pro-amnesty people demand that President Obama give work visas to at least 8,000,000+ illegals.

But pro-amnesty traitors conveniently forget to mention that many of these 8,000,000 illegals who will get work visas have husbands/wives and children.

24,000,000 illegals get amnesty: Pro-amnesty people are not really talking about 8,000,000 illegals, because they secretly know in their hearts that they are really talking about more like 24,000,000 illegals----3 times 8,000,000 illegals--- who will eventually get AMNESTY when President Obama takes his pen and quickly signs his executive order in a few weeks.

how did I arrive at the number of 24,000,000 illegals? I did it this way: I multiplied 8,000,000 illegals by 3.

1. Obviously, illegal immigrant men need their wives and children to keep them company. and many of them are already here.

2. And illegal immigrant women need their husbands to help them with the children.

3. Also, these illegal immigrants with their new work visas will now have no fear that immigration agents will be coming to their home to check to see how many in the household besides the visa holder are here legally.

4. So once they get their work visas, they can invite any number of relatives to live with them without fear that immigration officials will be coming to their unexpectedly to check the status of the people in the home. As long as visa holders pay their rent on time and their children attend school, we can be sure that no immigration officials will bother them and their families.

My point is this: Work visa holders and their growing families will be here forever. Basically, deportation of these illegals and their families will never happen, if President Obama has his way and goes ahead and signs his executive order soon after the midterm election.

5. You see, you can't very well legalize 8,000,000 illegals by giving them work visas, on the one hand, and then, on the other hand, turn around and deport husbands and wives and children of the work visa holders, persons who may not qualify for work visas for one reason or the other.

6. So I believe that multiplying 8,000,000 illegals by 3 is a good conservative estimate of how many illegals will immediately benefit from President Obama's executive order---an estimate based on a household with two parents, one child.

7.Of course, many households will be single households with no children.

8.But, as we know, many, many households of illegals who will be given work visas will have two or more children, so all those many children will easily make up for those households in my 24,000,000 estimate that have no children.

9. So that is the way I concluded that 24,000,000+ illegals will really get amnesty when traitor President Obama gives away our country with the simple signing of his executive order: 8,000,000 million illegal work visa holders times a conservative estimate of 3 member's in each illegal immigrant household.

10. Again, when President Obama quickly signs his executive order soon after the mid-term elections, he will NOT be giving amnesty to just 8,000,000 illegals as the pro-amnesty people want us to believe.

11. Rather, when the smoke clears, anti-amnesty people will wake up one morning and suddenly realize that the pro-amnesty people and President Obama have pulled off one of the biggest scams in history, because President Obama will really give amnesty to 24,000,000 illegals, not 8,000,000 illegals as President Obama will claim when he signs his executive order soon after the mid-term elections.

NOTE: 'Because it was the right thing to do." This is Obama's favorite phrase when he wants to justify his decision on a controversial subject like illegal immigration.

It is as if Obama wants us to believe that his decision is divinely inspired, that is, God himself told him what to do. What a bunch of crap.

So be prepared to hear Obama's phrase---"Because it was the right thing to do"---over and over after Obama signs the worst executive order ever.

It is the worst ever because President Obama will lie to us and give amnesty to not 8,000,000 illegals as Obama will lead us to believe when he signs the executive order, but to an unbelievable number of 24,000,000 illegals. Sick. Sick. Sick.

I wish the corrupt Boehner would resign and join his fellow puppet of the moneyed special interests Eric Cantor in private industry where he could honestly sell his soul

In the private sector, he'd actually have to work. In his present job he gets lots of free booze from Soros; why leave?
