A mass shooting has been reported in a small town near Gainesville on Thursday night.
The shooting was reported in the town of Bell in Gilchrest County, which is about 140 miles from downtown Orlando.
It's not clear how many victims were shot, but there are reports that children were among the victims.
A news conference is set for 8 p.m. Local 6 has a crew on its way to the scene.

Mass Shooting is a criminal justice term just like Serial Killer....
A Serial Killer is labeled when more than 3 different victims at different times are killed with same MO.
A Mass Shooting is when more than 3 victims are killed at the same time, same place, by same shooter.
It is criminal justice terminology and not someone just labeling for media purposes. A quick view for the community of what is happening and how to interpret it.
The Murder/Suicide of domestic violence gives the crime perspective...it is different from a random shooter who kills a restaurant full of people who are strangers...and may still be on the loose.
Yes, it’s repugnant but it gives all hearing the news a perspective on the type of crime and if they are in danger, if they live in the area. Nothing out of the ordinary and used nationwide.

Next thing people will tell me that there is actually someone who didn’t know that the government has been monitoring phone conversations and metadata for years.

Grandfather had been jailed for three years for shooting his 8 year old son in the head in a hunting accident in 2001. I would bet it wasn’t an accident.
Sounds as if the Dad just snapped or he was as big of a mess as his daughter. Sad.
