House Speaker John Boehner (R.-Ohio) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D.-Calif.) joined forces early Wednesday evening as the House passed a continuing resolution that will fund the government after the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30, and that will permit funding for Planned Parenthood (the nation's largest abortion provider), the entirety of Obamacare, and an amendment requested by President Barack Obama "to train and equip appropriately vetted elements of the Syrian opposition."
The bill passed 319 to 108 with four members not voting.
The bill will fund the government through Dec. 11, when a "lame-duck" Congress, which will include members thrown out by the voters in November, will be able to return to Washington and vote for programs and governmental actions that they may not have wanted to vote for before the election.

I predict the GOPE and Rats will be like crack heads on the 1st of the month with their SSI checks ready to cash. They will have a find old time in the lame duck congress. I wouldn’t be surprised if amnesty is passed along with a lot of other liberal crap.
Surrender on every issue so the democrats won’t have anything to use against us cried these hapless fools before. This is the same strategy they used in 2012 and how did it work out for them, ask president Romney, oh that’s right he lost because the base didn’t turn out for him, wonder why???

Pragmatism means that we go against our convictions in order to accept something that we think might work in the short run - the ends DO NOT justify the means.
I’d rather go down with the ship with my convictions intact than to compromise - because it is me that loses in the long run.

As do I. As much as we want Bonehead to go against everything, we must remember - there is an election just less than 2 months away. We don’t need to give the bully in the WH more ammuntion to blame Republicans for everything. Like it or not - he uses the MSM to carry his water to drown our candidates and hang things around their necks. Of course, they could come out and fight back, but its always in a defensive mode. Why can’t they just once take the offense in anything? They act just like the minority party they are - cowering in fear - when in reality, they hold the purse strings. Obama tells them to open it - and they cave. Hopefully, after Nov. Boehner will show some gonads. Hey, I can dream, can’t I?
