BOISE, Idaho – A SUV full of teenagers crashed in Idaho after one of the passengers lit the driver's armpit hair on fire with a lighter, authorities said Wednesday.
All five young people in the Ford Bronco were hurt in the crash Sunday and received medical treatment, the Ada County Sheriff's Office said.
Two of the passengers, ages 15 and 16, were thrown from the vehicle, but none of the five suffered life-threatening injuries.

I can see playing with fire as a teen. I can see bugging the driver of a car. I can see driving around for no reason. What I can’t imagine is “hold my beer while I set the driver of our moving car on fire”. Who, even as a teenager, even when drunk, doesn’t realize that setting the driver on fire is a bad idea?
I’m sure no alchol was involved, was anyone lighting frats by any chance?
That description could have applied to many of us. Not a bad thing either. Would that more schools today had similar standards.

Nah, we didn’t start drinking until we were in college. Lighting farts? I can’t say I’ve ever done or tried that.

I always realised that setting someone on fire in any circumstances wasn’t a good idea.

If a young man has hairy pits, and someone sets one on fire, all he has to do is slam his armpit closed, and the fire will go out.
However, I do understand how difficult it would be to think of that when you’re burning in pain, and the car is out of control.
Dozens of armpits spontaneously combust every year. It just isn’t widely reported.

I have a friend who tried to set a fire in my kitchen trash can when we were teenagers, as well as dumping cigarettes out of Mom’s ashtray into one of the table candles and setting that mess on fire. Nothing serious came of it; the fires were put out, but Mom did not allow him and my other friends into the apartment again for quite some time.
I’m still trying to comprehend the mindset of the arsonist.
My friends and I got together on icy days, and the driver would do spin-outs in a parking lot.
