How The West Created ISIS … with a little help from our friends.

Military action is necessary to halt the spread of the ISIS/IS “cancer,” said President Obama. Yesterday, in his much anticipated address, he called for expanded airstrikes across Iraq and Syria, and new measures to arm and train Iraqi and Kurdish ground forces.

“The only way to defeat [IS] is to stand firm and to send a very straightforward message,” declared Prime Minister Cameron. “A country like ours will not be cowed by these barbaric killers.”

Missing from the chorus of outrage, however, has been any acknowledgement of the integral role of covert US and British regional military intelligence strategy in empowering and even directly sponsoring the very same virulent Islamist militants in Iraq, Syria and beyond, that went on to break away from al-Qaeda and form ‘ISIS’, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, or now simply, the Islamic State (IS).

Since 2003, Anglo-American power has secretly and openly coordinated direct and indirect support for Islamist terrorist groups linked to al-Qaeda across the Middle East and North Africa. This ill-conceived patchwork geostrategy is a legacy of the persistent influence of neoconservative ideology, motivated by longstanding but often contradictory ambitions to dominate regional oil resources, defend an expansionist Israel, and in pursuit of these, re-draw the map of the Middle East.

Now despite Pentagon denials that there will be boots on the ground – and Obama’s insistence that this would not be another “Iraq war” – local Kurdish military and intelligence sources confirm that US and German special operations forces are already “on the ground here. They are helping to support us in the attack.” US airstrikes on ISIS positions and arms supplies to the Kurds have also been accompanied by British RAF reconnaissance flights over the region and UK weapons shipments to Kurdish peshmerga forces.

defend an expansionist Israel

That statement is so divorced from reality, it calls into question everything else the author writes. In what possible way is Israel expansionist?

ISIS is a cancer, and you can eradicate it but it will return if you do not deal with the cause.

Islam & the Koran must be eliminated or the cancer will return in a disease more violent.

If you read the entire article you will find links to places like the Washington Post, New York Times and numerous others.

There are also excellent pictures and maps to lighten the reading.

After taking in all the information, if you want to comment that the story was biased against Israel, etc., I’d welcome your comments.

I’m sure you’ll find the article as a whole is not about Israel.

bobo1, did you read the entire article and understand it ?

It’s reporting that ISIS was essentially created by the US and UK governments.

~How is Israel expansionist?~

Well, technically Israel has grown a bit since it’s establishment if I’m not mistaking.
It is not if I’m blaming Israel, I think it won’t hurt them to grow some more.

Expansionist. Right.

....”New world order providing the interested observer with some bits of information about their current middle east operations”....

There tracks are not hard to follow anymore....much is openly stated and seen...therefore they know they've gone far enough that they can't be stopped now....and they also know the public is dumb-downed and sufficiently 'entertained' otherwise that the most they would expect is an occasional protest here and there.

Yeah, whatever you say, Barry.

We know you're pulling for them.

Dumbed-down and entertained ? I’d say they have been tricked into white-hot anger support of the very new world order that hates and persecutes Christians.

So much anger, they stop reading, stop thinking.

They just start screaming for the US military to bomb, kill, etc., everything and everyone in sight.

The mind control efforts over the decades have worked so well, the “opposition” to new world order is actually supporting new world order.

It’s funny in a face-palm kind of way.

Of course. It’s ALWAYS our fault Islam rampages. From the Barbary pirate days ALL the west’s fault. From the initial conquests of Muhammed, ALWAYS America’s fault. From the pre day Arab verses Persian violence, ALWAYS America’s fault. What a joke

Leaving aside some of his anti-US and anti-Israel bias, what he says is approximately what I believe.

The goal has been to drive a physical wedge between Iran and Syria, to close Iran’s window onto the Mediterranean, and to replace Assad with a government that is more amenable to the Turks and Saudis. To that extent, ISIS is doing what its supposed to do.

Another aspect of the strategy has been a bit of geopolitical judo in which, instead of endless war against the jihadists we would recruit them and turn them loose on enemies of our choosing. Its a clever strategy, really. Except that the jihadists are still monstrous psychopaths who can’t help but embarrass their backers as they go head-chopping their way across the middle east.

So now we’re having to do some PR cleanup.

One thing, while I’ve said that ISIS was spawned by the Turks/Saudi/State Department, the article adds Israel into the mix. Maybe. If it weren’t for the very public head-chopping, there really wouldn’t be any pressure from anyone to do anything about them. And you notice that O’s strategy to “contain” ISIS is to train and arm another ISIS. That Turkey refuses to take any action at all against ISIS while continuing to be their safe zone and arms supplier.
