Women More Likely to Commit Domestic Violence, Studies Show
The New American ^ | September 16, 2014 | Selwyn Duke

Football player Ray Rice’s video-captured February attack on his then-fiancée has once again brought domestic violence into the public’s consciousness.

Or has it?

Critics would say that while it has placed a spotlight on violence against women, that isn’t at all synonymous with “domestic violence.”

Because studies show that most domestic violence may actually be violence against men.

This has just been brought to light by Guardian columnist Glen Poole, who recently asked why British actress Kelly Brook has “got away with punching two men”? Complaining that there “is little room for the female perpetrator or the male victim in mainstream modern discourse around violence and [sex],” he goes on to point out:

“Studies have long shown that at least 60% of domestic violence incidents are started by the woman.”

There is “started” and there is “started”. Women “start” 97% of fights verbally, and perhaps 60% of fights physically.

Anectdotal and surely not representative. My ex was a violent bitch. I would never let her hit me and would many times have to restrain her, though I will say I did see my first flying saucer while with her. BTW, I never hit her.

The final straw came when she shot and killed her boyfriend in my kitchen while I was at work. Not sure how she got in as I had already thrown her out. Over the years, she has done time for assaulting a police officer, stabbing her latest boyfriend, who BTW, later died of suspicious circumstances.

Anyway, I’ve been happily single since about 1990. I raised all 4 of my kids myself. Put them thru private school. All is good, but I not sure I want to take another chance at marriage.

I knew a girl in college that had the opinion that a good kick in the groin is enough to defeat any man.

So I (playfully) gave her the opportunity...

After about 3 seconds I had her pinned on the bed and asked, “what now?”.

She got the message. I don’t think she’d ever experienced the real difference in strength and power.

I hate it when that happens. You can really tell something about a person by who they shoot.

Maybe you attract the “crazies” lol

I have a friend like that. He’s very charismatic...ladies love him but he always picks the wrong one. One of them had some “heavies” come to his apartment to beat him up (because he broke up with her), except he wasn’t there and they knew his roommate...so they decided against it and had some beers when he came home. She then moved in with a house of lesbians and subsequently burned the house down.

...he’s had many like this and doesn’t understand it. Thing is, everyone else can see it coming, weird.

Despite the description in this article, Ray Rice was actually attacked by his wife before he struck her back. Even when it’s on video, people turn a blind eye to it.

Congratulations on raising the kids well, in spite of the challenges your ex presented. Nicely done.

You probably have better judgment now, as to selecting a potential wife.

No doubt true. My personal favorite is the term “verbal abuse.”

I don’t believe I have ever heard it applied to a female, only to males. Which is pretty hilarious.

Of course there is. Because they know that they can get away with it and scream, “HE abused ME!”

Some women roll this way too.

A relative successively married, starting at 15:

A drug addict.

An alcoholic.

A wife beater.

Another alcoholic who doubled as a wife-beater.

A bank robber who shortly after the marriage died in a shootout with the cops.

Her fifth marriage, in late 40s, is to an accountant who seems to be a pretty decent guy. Some women (and men) seem to be slow learners. LOL

Odd thing about her, though. Not particularly attractive, but when she walked into a room she drew men like bees to honey.

You should take this totally believable, not-at-all ridiculous thread down and repost it the first time video of a WOMAN KNOCKING OUT AN NFL FOOTBALL PLAYER WITH ONE PUNCH goes viral.

That’ll REALLY change everyone’s mind!

Ready for all the “He didn’t knock her out! The railing did it!” posts in three, two, one...

I heard he hit her first, then she hit back, and that’s when he knocked her out.

You may well be right. I only saw the video highlight.

BS.....study was a subjective accessment and women notoriously blame themselves for everything, so if asked, have you hurt your spouse, they would almost automatically say "yes" even if the hurt was a slight push or slap on the hand...

women are guilt ridden...we have strong ids....if our husbands cheat or drink or hit us, its OUR fault somehow, someway....if our children fail in school, its OUR fault....everything is OUR fault....

and men are the opposite...ala ojsimpson, who claimed to be battered by his petite wife, men interpret most things as NOT being their fault, the woman asked for it, or they couldn't help it or they were provoked, blah blah blah....you know this is true.

and btw I know there's bruisers out there among the women but the vast majority of women couldn't do harm to a man physically unless they had a weopon to use...so a woman's hit is not the same, not nearly as a man's....

This is old news about domestic violence, women are weak and hopeless, so even if they assault you, it doesn’t count, unless of course the topic is different and we are discussing women in the military, as cops, firemen, etc., then women are equal to men and so on.

Depending on the conversation at hand, women are whatever makes them look the best in that particular topic.

Well stated. I’m an old lady who liked it when were all considered weak and helpless. We had it made, and most of us were treated very, very well.

I have a close friend who was married and had children, but decided in the last couple of years she wanted to be a lesbian.

She is now in a lesbian relationship and they drink heavily and fight often. The neighbors called the cops this weekend because they were involved in a physical dispute with each other.

Overall, they have become very unstable, unreliable, and emotionally turbulent people.
