You can't even get through to Gowdy’s office to complain.
I thought we were going to have a fact finding hearing and instead we are getting a hearing on how to improve the process.

Kiel and Sullivan are recommending that the DAS for Security should be reporting directly to the SECSTATE level, rather than thru the Under Secretary for Management. Raising the level of security helps raise the importance of security.

Kiel is the best guy on the panel. I have worked with Greg Starr who is also a good guy. But Kiel is the truth teller.

You shouldn’t turn it off. This will build the foundation for the rest of the hearings. Of course, it is more interesting to me because I have know the people involved having worked with them.

The Reps have set their sights on 2016. They are using the hearings to destroy Hillary.

Yes. We’ve learned to let our Embassies get overrun, like what happened in Libya just this last week.

Process is important to lay the foundation for what happened. One thing that has been yet to be said is that the cardinal rule for stationing our people abroad should be that no American should be at a post unless we are assured that the host government can defend us. Ultimately, the host government is responsible for the security of our people.

We know that the post communicated to the Department that they could not depend on the host government for protection. That alone should have mandated the closure of the post.

It is just on your computer and limited coverage on Fox. I thought they said we would see this. Sounds like a deal was struck for us to only see what we are suppose to see according to them.

The only defense is patting themselves on the back. It’s all they’ve got after all. Diversion and redirection, aka, ducking and weaving.

I was at our Embassy in Tehran when we got overrun on February 14, 1979. We should have evacuated the Embassy long before that. We had to fight to get our dependents evacuated just a week before that.

The host government is responsible for external security outside the embassy wall. The marines usually have responsibility for the inside. Most embassies have 9-11 marines. After 9-11 I think Pakistan increased to 22. So there is some responsibility for marines to provide protection.

Don’t recall marines at Benghazi, but I welcome information to the contrary.

I agree. Trey has had lots of good prosecutorial experience and I think he thinks very strategically. I also believe he's very methodical and is letting these witnesses and topics come out at the start only to lower the boom as a prosecutor in the future.

BTW - I just noticed this on FR a little while ago (the Dims, let's spread more propaganda before the elections and let's save Hillary and help Elijah et al cover-up):

Democrats launch Benghazi website, ahead of hearing
