They are not destroying Hillary with this hearing. No one is going to listen to “Best Practices” when we haven't gotten to the truth of what happened.

I expected them to cover Sharyl Attkinsson’s newest revelations:

Thanks for your info. For those of us on the outside, it is way too easy to make quick judgments and assumptions, and then--feeling all disappointed and discouraged--leave the game before the final inning is played.

And my hope and prayer is that Gowdy views "winning" in terms of getting the truth out, as much as that is possible in dealing with the Obama "regime".

I don’t know who is worthwhile and who is not.

I am hoping that today’s hearing is foundational to something bigger.

After the way she conducted herself going after Nixon (her professor/boss fired her for lying and unscrupulous behavior) this karma has been a long time coming.

If it’s proven that Mills shredded Benghazi docs - maybe Gowdy can get that teed up before the next hearing - seems she’d have to come in for questioning, this time UNDER OATH.

How can Gowdy help Maxwell prove his accusation of shredding in the basement that weekend?

Agree, and it seems like limited coverage unless you go on your computer. Everyone needs to see all of this instead of them putting on only limited coverage on TV so people can only see what they want them to see. Sounds like a deal and sell out to me. This wasn’t the purpose of these hearings. They should be televised full coverage for all to see.

The host government is responsible for external security outside the embassy wall. The marines usually have responsibility for the inside. Most embassies have 9-11 marines. After 9-11 I think Pakistan increased to 22. So there is some responsibility for marines to provide protection

I know how it works having worked at Embassies as the Management Officer. The RSO reported to me and the RSO supervises the MSG Detachment. The Marines are there primarily to protect classified information. They can provide limited personnel protection until the host government forces arrive.

The size of the MSG depends on a number of factors. Risk, the number of internal MSG posts, etc. will govern size. The minimum used to be 6.

No, not at this hearing. Hillary will become more of the subject after the midterms. Probably around the time she declares she is running for President. Timing is everything.

By providing the names of the people he saw doing the review. Mills and Sullivan have been named, but career people were also involved. They need to be deposed.

It’s no where near time for lunge and thrust.

Also, the lunge and thrust will happen behind closed doors, and except for any leaks, will be sealed until after the election.

This may not be a fireworks show, yet...but Gowdy is a prosecutor. He will patiently build his case brick by brick. It will seem boring and harmless, but when he is ready he will hit them like a Sidewinder. And by then they will have no defense they will have proven their own guilt. If I was on trial and he was the prosecutor, I’d be pleading out. He plays no favorites, and I have the impression he is fearless and doesn’t give a hoot what the leadership thinks. If he has the proof, I would expect him to put Bullethead at the witness table. As much as it pains me, I have to be patient.

I should add that we do hire local guards for the exterior of the facility, but they are no match for a large scale attack. They are really trip wires for an external threat. Sometimes they are armed, sometimes not.

Just like they got to the bottom of Fast And Furious. I believe Eric Holder is still under contempt of Court on that one. I'm disgusted. If it's all about elections instead of the truth, then Gowdy isn't the man I thought he was.
