Rapist Who Can't Bear Prison to Be Euthanized

Frank Van Den Bleeken, a Belgian man in prison for multiple rapes and a rape-murder, has decided he wants to die and authorities have decided they can grant that request. Van Den Bleeken, 50, has been in prison for nearly 30 years and has declined to seek parole because he believes his uncontrollable urges make him a danger to society, but he says he can no longer bear prison conditions and his own "unbearable psychic suffering," AFP reports. "I am a human being, and regardless of what I've done, I remain a human being," he told Belgian TV. "So, yes, give me euthanasia." Authorities determined Van Den Bleeken met the required conditions: He is conscious, capable, and has expressed a "voluntary, considered, and repeated" request to end his life.

Rather than give him what he wants... give him hard labor for life.

Dunno if that would be a good idea.
Arresting Obama for his very real crimes is just a step away from arresting a departing politician for his policies. And just the other side of that is civil war.

Yet merely executing him would be decried as "cruel and unusual punishment!"

I'm glad to see him go, but I do wonder...why wasn't castration an option for parole?

It is forbidden to castrate any male being whatsoever. Though in our days Torah authorities are lenient with regard to non-Jews castrating animals. I don't know if such lenience would be granted to the castration of a human being.

There is a larger issue here than what you describe (even though you make a good point). I’ll probably get flamed for this from everyone but oh well.

The fact that this is a hardened criminal makes no difference as far as the immorality of euthanasia is concerned. The fact is no one has the “right” to take their own life to end any kind of suffering. Be it disease, or punishment or whatever.

I find this case sad, really, that this person (rightfully) acknowledges he’s a danger to society, and is willing to take responsibility for the danger he creates by his sin, yet doesn’t wish to live with the consequences of this realization. He isn’t a threat to society anymore. There is no issue of self defense.

He is being called by God to not only be sorry for his sin but to truly repent in every sense of the word. One can’t “repent” by just being sorry for sin. Repent is also to turn your life around as much as possible. To live your life with the cross you now carry. This is life. This is what we are all called to do really.

What’s next, we encourage people who are alcoholics to kill themselves? Or drug addicts? Or any thief? When, or really who gets to decide when a life is “worthless”?

Here’s the answer to my own question: no one does but God. He creates life every PICOsecond. So it is HIS right, and none other’s to decide who lives and who dies.

If He wanted someone to die they would die already. So He still wants even this poor wretch of a man to live, for His Glory to be an example of His Glory on earth. If only he would accept His love as he has already accepted his sin, His Glory would be made manifest 100 fold. For NOTHING is impossible with God.

I find it disgusting that some would encourage him to kill himself “because his life is worthless”. That is precisely the same thing as saying “God, you’re stupid for keeping him alive. I know better than you God, he should die. He has no further worth on Earth, you God are stupid for thinking otherwise.”

EXACTLY the same thing. Such hubris. Such evil that would say that to God!

Yes, his pleading of not wanting to be a danger might be just an excuse to gain support for dying, which is his only goal, since he can’t be set free to rape again. No pity from me...

WOW! I admit, I am a little impressed. If this man is self-aware enough to not even seek parole, and knows he's out of control, that is pretty impressive.

Sounds almost like he's Demon-possessed, literally, like a *real* Demon.... and the real Van Den Bleeken knows it and doesn't want the Demon to roam free.

Then the civil war will have been merely postponed another few years.

JFK stole the 1960 election. Nixon didn’t contest it because it would be divisive.

LBJ killed JFK, and got away with it, even though RFK and Jackie knew the truth. (Hoover had too much dirt on them.)

The Clintons have been criminals for thirty years. Skated every time. Even for rapes.

When G. W. Bush moved into the White House, the carpets and walls were covered with urine, feces, and graffiti. Bush covered it all up, because we needed a “new tone.”

The Saudis and the Democrat party put an illegal alien Muslim terrorist in the White House. Whose administration has abused the DoJ, the IRS, the EPA, etc., etc., etc., obstructed justice, destroyed evidence, committed perjury, treason, and murder.

But arresting “Obama” would be too “divisive.”

How bad does it have to get before traitors are tried for treason, perjurers are tried for perjury, murderers are tried for murder...

When the Muslim terrorists “Obama” has flown into the U.S. by the tens of thousands start cutting off heads, I think you will see “civil war.”

A lot of sex offenders and murderers have enough good will in them to seek to be confined for that very reason.

The bad news is, the police will be ordered to protect the Moslems.

As stupid as American cops are now (I think it’s documented that those with an IQ over 90 are being screened out—at least in many places.) I think that once beheadings start on U.S. soil (on a larger scale than they already take place) they will turn against the Moslems.

BTW: I think I read somewhere that “Moslem” is now offensive. Moslem. Moslem. Moslem. Moslem. Moslem.
