Who is recruiting Minnesotans for ISIS?

A big part of the fight against the terror group known as ISIS and ISIL is taking place on American soil in places where young people are leaving the country to go join their cause, even fight and die overseas.

Perhaps the biggest question of all is: Who is recruiting? It's a question no one seems to be able to answer definitively in Minnesota, but a lot of fingers are pointing at Amir Meshal, a former al Qaeda suspect who lived on a quiet cul de sac in Eden Prairie, Minn., until recently. Yet, some believe he may actually be an FBI informant. Still others say he may be a kind of double agent.

No one is more suspicious of Meshal than Peter Erlinder, an attorney representing a would-be traveler to Syria.

"I am not prepared to confirm or deny the role my client had in this," Erlinder told Fox 9 News.

Erlinder is a lawyer choosing his words very carefully, and his client is a high school-aged boy who was intercepted by the FBI at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in June. The teen was trying to board a flight to Istanbul, but his presumed destination was Syria.

When the feds decided to import and finance a couple hundred thousand Somali Muslims, Minnesota Lutheran Social Services oinked its way to a large share at the government trough.

I hope they are as thrilled when those Somalis start bringing in TRUCK-LOADS of faux relatives from Somali to live off the U.S. government gravy train.

The Chinese in San Francisco did that DECADES ago. The City by the bay is 30% Chinese. The Chinese moved into the dreadful "Hunter's Point" area. The older black folks had finally died. Their children sold the home to Chinese and then moved to Oakland to live off what they sold their parents' home for.

“The teen was trying to board a flight to Istanbul, but his presumed destination was Syria.”

Let him go, then revoke his passport and citizenship.

If the U.S. still had a decent intel network (CIA spy’s) it would be a simple matter to infiltrate ISIS as recruits. Then we would know where to hit and hurt them the most.

Looks like someone sees the light. Is it time to start burning mosques?

Not yet. But I would like to send several undercover agents with covert cams on them to prove that they are are militant in nature and not the peaceful Muslims they pretend to be. Video ootage of their weapon cache rooms and the anti-American vitriol and jihad recruiting by their Imams would be great footage or the American people to see but it would probably require middle eastern men working undercover to pull it off...

As a former Minnesotan (left approx 30 years ago), I agree with you.

From what I have heard, they are mainly Somalian refugees who were shown mercy and allowed to leave the shithole they created and come to the US.

If these teenagers are under the age of 18, aren't they supposed to have parental permission to travel with someone who is NOT a family member? If that's the case, who is taking these kids, and why can't they being arrested for kidnapping?

Heck, I rode on the train with our daughter to Montreal and when we stopped at the border, the agents asked if I had a letter from her father giving me permission to take her out of the country. I laughed, because I thought he was kidding, but he wasn't! I told him, that I didn't have a letter, but he DID know we were on the trip. He didn't give me any trouble, though.
