This was not a direct quote, but rather a “quote” by memory by someone who attended a “private briefing” prior to O’s ISIL Speech.

I really only thought he was going to be as bad as Carter, or NYC mayor David Dinkins, but he is so, so, so, so, so, so much worse that either of those guys could ever be.

This makes me wonder if the first photo we saw was when the Muslims dragged him out of where he’d been hiding. He was probably unconscious then, but alive, since we were told that they were “celebrating” the fact that he was alive. Some reports said that he was then put in a car.
Unfortunately, he may have revived long enough for them to kill him more slowly and cruelly. I recall that there was a long delay before his body turned up at the hospital, and there were originally reports that it had been retrieved by Special Forces. But then that morphed into helpful Muslims taking him to the hospital...I doubt it.

Nothing / nothing the Obama administration has said about Benghazi should be accepted at face value. But alternate accounts need verifiable evidence too.

I’d like to know where PLD got it or at any rate through what immediate source, since it may have been leaked. It’s certainly not fabricated, but maybe it’s not a photo of Stevens but of somebody else they tortured to death.
However, it does look like Stevens and the accounts of how they got his body back and what happened that night are unclear enough to make it very possible. I remember there was an interview with a jihadi (these guys are so bold they actually give interviews!) that said “we did to him what we did to Mubarak.”
