All the Reasons Democrats Are Screwed This November
Yahoo News ^ | 14 Sep 2014 | Russell Berman

As the 2014 midterm election campaign heats up, all indications are that Democrats are headed for a trouncing at the hands of Republicans.

Most political prognosticators now give the GOP a better-than-even chance of picking up the six seats it needs to win control of the Senate, and the party is expected to expand its majority in the House.

The Republican gains may not match those of the Tea Party wave of 2010 that cost Democrats the House and their filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, but it likely will be enough to make President Obama's final two years in office even more of a headache than the last four have been.

There are many factors fueling the GOP's advantage, but the most striking difference between 2014 and 2010 is that the economy is not one of them. Both the unemployment rate and layoffs are way down, but Democrats by and large are not getting the credit for it.

Democrats always knew 2014 was going to be a tough Senate election for a simple reason: They have to defend a bunch of seats held in deeply red states that Obama lost in the last two presidential elections.

The three seats the party has all but conceded to Republicans are in South Dakota, West Virginia, and Montana, where the departures of long-serving Sens. Tim Johnson (S.D.), Jay Rockefeller (W.Va.) and Max Baucus (who became ambassador to China) pretty much doomed Democrats' chances of winning. Democrats initially had hopes they could hold onto Montana, but their nominee, John Walsh, withdrew from the race last month amid a plagiarism scandal.

With those three gone, Democrats have incumbents up for re-election in another four states that Mitt Romney won in 2012: Alaska (Mark Begich), Arkansas (Mark Pryor), Louisiana (Mary Landrieu), and North Carolina (Kay Hagan).

Waiting for an anti GOPe person to jump in here with a wet blanket to douse any optimism. 3... 2... 1...

It is as predictable as the sun setting in the west.

the Tea Party wave of 2010

Which made Boehner the Speaker.

And how did he reward that?

The answer might explain why the gains won't be as large.

I just really really hope Joni Ernst in Iowa is among the winners. Not only will she be a great Senator, but her opponent Bruce Braley is the ultimate insufferable liberal idiot that Iowans seem drawn to for reasons I’ve never understood. He needs smacking, hard.

.......a tsunami of recent voter polls amount to a vote of no confidence.....so much so that Obama's plan to grant amnesty to millions of illegals was put on hold to try to protect uneasy Democrats from voter wrath in November.....

But slimeball Rep. Luis Gutierrez (Dem-Ill), the leading mouthpiece for amnesty giveaways, isn't taking Obama's dismissal lying down. Gutierrez said the Congressional Hispanic Caucus will meet to determine a formal response.

“No more excuses, I don’t care what senator is dangling in the wind, I don’t care what Republican proposal is being made,” he said. “I don’t care what happens. We are moving forward.”

===========================================

Oh my---that sounds dangerously like a latino threat to Democrats. Question is: are Democrats who have been so loyal going to allow Gutierrez to threaten their re/elections?

Democrats need to get cooking and demand to know the details
about an individual threatening their candidacies. For instance:

<><><>the number of identities Gutierrez is using now, or has ever used driving a cab in Illinois;

<><><> the number of US govt check Gutierrez, his family, and his staff are cashing;

<><><> whether Gutierrez ever been labled a ntl security threat;

<><><> the list of his memberships in violent latino groups advocating the overthrow of the US govt;

<><> How many stolen Social Security numbers are his family, staff and political entourage using?

<><><> How many identities are the Guiterrez family and campaign entourage using?

<><><> Are his family, supporters, and political entourage paid agents of foreign governments?

WHO IS GIVING GUTIERREZ HIS MARCHING ORDERS? Democrats need to get the FBI to subpoena Gutierrez's phone records, emails and snail mail, wire transfers, etc .....

<><> Examine his campaign contributors, foreign travel;

<><> did Gutierrez employ foreign agents as staff w/ US tax dollars?

<><> did Gutierrez ever file falsified documents w/ the federal government?

<><> did he ever make false statements on tax returns?

<><> did he ever apply for EITC refunds listing children "back Home" that are not related to him?

<><> does he earn outside income as a paid political consultant to foreign governments?

<><> did Gutierrez fail to register as an agent of a foreign government;

<><> Is Gutierrez and The Congressional Hispanic Caucus using tax dollars to conduct a coup against Democrats.

=================================================

DEMOCRATS SHOULD CONTACT FBI TIPS PAGE WEB SITE---https://tips.fbi.gov

<><> DEMOCRATS should demand Gutierrez, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, La Raza, and other tax-funded latino groups, be investigated.

Democrats should supboena Gutierrez' official filings, phone records, emails, snail mail copies, hard drives, bank accounts, checking accounts, credit cards, debit cards, wire transfers, social media contacts, and the like.

==================================================

Democrats should demand to know who these people are communicating with, and who is directing their activities.

Democrats should demand to know if Gutierrez, his family, his staff, The Congressional Hispanic caucus, are colluding to dump Democrats, and whether they are consorting with violent organizations advocating the overthrow of the US govt.

So tired of this unemployment argument. It’s only because of the massive drop in labor participation rate that it’s in the low 6s..the people who have given up would put it over 12 percent but they aren’t counted...

I’m not eGOP (or even insurgent-GOP) but GOPs of all flavors have demonstrated a great knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory lately.

I hate these stories. We are stuck with the stupid party, and sooner or later someone who has their race sewed up, will feel compelled to expound on their abortion opinion, or call their opponent a "Clown" or "Putz", thus giving the race to the other guy. Enough of these stories will give independents a reason to stay at home, because, I mean why bother when the Dems are doomed.

After election day will be plenty of time to write stories about what went wrong for the losers, until that day, we are behind. In. Every. Race.

Not only does the GOP have a knack for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, their victories do not matter a hill of beans, because they stand for nothing.

There you go, happy to be of service.

snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

Wow, now there's an original thought. I've never heard that on FR threads until now.

Gonna be interesting. I imagine the Rats are cranking up the vote fraud machine and lining up crooked judges.

More interesting will be seeing what the Pussies, sorry, Pubbies (synonyms?) do in the first 90 days.

Also, during the lame duck period, when the media ramps up the predictions of Pubbie plans to eat babies, kill the poor and enslave women, it will be informative to see the yellow stains on the pants of the party members that “control” the Senate. There will be plenty.

Given the demographic changes of the last 10 years we have gone over the edge permanently. And, as mentioned above - so what if the GOPe wins? We get to die slower?

I would rather the radical left wins and pushes their agenda to the point that it sparks a war. Otherwise the frog is never going to jump out of the pot.

They are going to keep the race card going, and Ferguson shooting as they have nothing else to run on.

Tried that in CA. Working out very well. Every political post, from dog catcher to govern or, is rat infested.

Yup, that thar revoltin' be going on any second now, hold your breath.

Still waiting for the ideal candidate, and now we have Fluke (!) running for a seat at the table.

The same people who you would expect to revolt, will not even walk down to cast a vote, yet they will overthrow the dems if only it gets bad enough?

Nope, don't think so. Let me know how it works out for you.

I believe Obama achieved what FDR and LBJ could only dream of or at least continued on their work.

FDR created his group of dependents, mostly old people that kept them in power for nearly half a century. LBJ said something like this will keep the Negroes voting for us for generations. Obama has created and maintained a large swath of what would be white middle class voters, hes created more eligible minority voters, amnesty illegal aliens (yes officially they don't count but how do you stop them from voting) and maintained the black and Hispanic vote. On top of this they control the voting apparatus in key states. Hillary will be the next POTUS because a lot of Republican will vote for her because she has a vagina. Mcaullife runs Virginia only reason hes there is to ensure it does not go red again. So forget it, short of revolution we will never be able to reverse the incredible damage inflicted upon us.

"All the Reasons Democrats Are Screwed This November"

I sincerely hope this is true, but we must not underestimate democrats proven ability to corrupt the election process.

In fact they are so adept at stealing elections, Rino's learned to implement some of their corrupt strategy, but only against conservative candidates, because if they attempt it against democrats they will be caught, rino's are just not smart enough to get away with it.
