Wow, what a misleading title. My first thought was, "Great, relations between India & Pakistan have improved to the point where Pakistani Navy ships are visiting India..."
Then I noticed "Karachi",
Then "Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent..."
So what, exactly, does this attack have to do with India?

I wonder how the attack group mistook a “Pokistoni” frigate with an American aircraft carrier? Something about this doesn’t seem right ...

Pakistan is part of the Indian subcontinent. Many Muslims still yearn for the glory of the era of the Mughals and Afghan invaders, who ruled most of Central and Northern India. So it’s not an accident that Zawahari chose the subcontinent name for the new outfit.

Maybe theyre not too bright. 10 people intend to capture a carrier?

Well, maybe they saw the movie and thought Tom Hanks would be easy to roll over. It worked well for the Somalis.

"I wonder how the attack group mistook a Pokistoni frigate with an American aircraft carrier?" Makes you wonder if they're being advised by rogue American SWAT "operators".

Heavily armed militants attacked a naval dock in Karachi's sea port on Saturday night and targeted what they believed was an American aircraft carrier, Ayman al-Zawahiri though 10 men could capture an american aircraft carrier...???
Somehow I find that hard to believe unless they were simply sent as cannon fodder to make news..

With the current ROE set by Jarrett, exactly how many weapons are kept loaded on a ship in dock?

With the current ROE set by Jarrett, exactly how many weapons are kept loaded on a ship in dock? That's a very good question
The fact they were docked in a Karachi port, not exactly an overt friendly place, the captain would have at least a small security detail ?

They were probably watching the 2012 Demo Natl Convention when, as part of a patriotic collage projected behind the speaker, they showed a photo of a Russian frigate (instead of a USN vessel).
Maybe the DNC provided intel for the “raid.”

Obviously the “Pahckestanies” allow their military to carry arms...with real bullets.

targeted what they believed was an American aircraft carrierTaking over an American carrier in any port would require a bit larger group than these folks mustered with any hope of some success.

Importantly, these people were stupid.
They pulled off an attack on a military base. Not impossible. But try it on any military base twice, and you are going to get your buttocks handed to you on a platter.
This is kind of universal, but American base commanders doubly so. They tend to regard their base as a member of their family, and get all kinds of bloody-minded if it is attacked.

Three jihadis were killed in the attack, four were captured and another three arrested... The seven in custody should be treated as pirates, given a perfunctory court martial-style trial and promptly hanged from the yardarm. And the hangman's ropes should be of pigskin leather, with pig's blood splashed upon the faces of each Jihadi before the hanging. All recorded for YouTube, of course.

Pakistan is part of the Indian subcontinent. Understood. The headline implied that the Al-Queda branch was based in the nation of India... at least to my understanding.
