LIMA, Ohio (AP) — Authorities have apprehended the convicted killer of three Ohio students at a high school cafeteria who escaped from prison Thursday night. Nineteen-year-old T.J. Lane was captured early Friday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and police in Lima said. "We got him...... One more to go," Lima police tweeted around 2 a.m. They said Lane had been returned to prison.

Police said T.J. Lane made it only about 100 yards from the prison’s fence thanks to a perimeter set up by police searching for the escaped inmates.
“Obviously I am not happy that this happened,” warden Kevin Jones said at a press conference. “No warden in my position would be happy that this happened, but the facts are that I am happy that he is back in custody.”
Police did not note how the men were able to escape from prison or the exact circumstances of their capture. The prison where they were being held was a mostly minimum and medium security facility with close to 1,600 inmates. Since it opened in 1994, the prison never had an instance of an inmate escaping.
Jones said he saw Lane after he was captured and that the teen did not say anything. An investigation is underway to determine how the men, who were outside for recreation, managed to climb over the prison’s perimeter fence, Jones said.

Still after all state and Fed appeals were finished, the final verdict is the Death Penalty. Her mom is sick, near a 2nd nervous breakdown, no health ins. broke, and has no computer or computer skills. Mine are minimal at best.

Authorities learned of the escape during a a 911 call around 7:45 p.m. reporting the escape, which Crish surmised came from someone at the prison. A deputy pulling up at the prison spotted two men running into the woods north of the prison, he said.
The search focused on an area mainly north and northeast of the prison within about a 2-mile radius. The search includes fields, creeks, abandoned buildings, sheds, garages, woods and anywhere else in the area, Crish said.
Crish had little information available on the actual escape and including whether they men may have had help.
One employee of the prison who did not want to be identified said he heard the men made a rope out of material, possible clothing, to get over the fence. The men were last seen wearing prison-issued blue clothing.
...Oakwood has a segregation unit that houses notorious inmates such as Lane and others convicted of high profile crimes, for their own protection. The two facilities are separate from one another and have separate perimeter fences. Both sit next to the closed Lima Correctional Institution, which has not been used for a decade.
