The demonstrators protesting the death of Ferguson teen Michael Brown failed in their bid to shut down rush-hour traffic on Interstate 70 Wednesday afternoon but nonetheless claimed success for disrupting traffic for hours on North Hanley Road, a major St. Louis County artery.

Before a late-afternoon thunderstorm dispersed the final remnants of protesters that at one point approached 150 people, clashes with police had resulted in 32 charged with unlawful assembly and four with assault on law enforcement officers.

No one was injured during the nearly three hour stand-off with authorities.

Desperately trying to get something started before it gets cold and they lose the will to throw a tantrum.

Dr King is rolling over in his grave. His concept of peaceful lawful civil rights demonstrations is a bit of history conceptually forgotten.

The feral subculture insists on damaging the concept and the black community at large

“Assault on a police offer” could get you killed. Too bad its so unpopular in Ferguson these days, might have gotten rid of a few “Mike Browns” or other street rats. I am not racist, just saying.

Better than a SWAT Van to end the protests.

The police should shoot a barrage of paternity tests and work boots at the protestors to end it quickly.

They had to act - the "Justice for Mike" T-shirt sales had really slowed.

(Refrigerator magnets and coffee mugs still available - big discounts!)

I am reminded of the First Rule of Wizardry: “Wizard’s First Rule: people are stupid. People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it’s true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.”

Basically, they were set off by a video, that appears fake, of two construction workers discussing what was happening on the street. Why would anyone continue to record construction workers and not the confrontation?

People who are driving to and from work, trying to do what is right for their families, trying to provide for children, and be a productive part in society have been waylaid by rabble rousers pushing their senseless, deluded persecution complex. Everybody is always pickin’ on black people.

Compare that to the temporary shutdown of I-5 during the Bundy confrontation in Nevada a while back.

The difference is remarkable - and will go unmentioned by the media.

Total stupidity! Ferguson is not the place in America to raise a family start a business and support a Community!
Unlawful acts result in shame for an entire city! But of course to some a burned out lifeless town is what some would call home! Mo the show me State has shown it’s ugly head! It’s Government has shown it will cater to criminals! Anarchy rules in this case! I suggest you reassess!

I think most of them know full well that nobody’s persecuting them. But when you only have one string to your bow to get by in life, and everybody pretends you make beautiful music plucking that one string, you might as well play it for all it’s worth.
