More women will recognise the situation than will want to admit it. You're young and a little tipsy, a delightful guy chats you up, you drink some more and end up at one or other's flat.

Then you dance and laugh and drink some more... ending up in bed together. In the morning, you can hardly remember what happened, let alone whether you used contraception.

Have you been there? I have, all of 47 years ago, in my first year of university. Some things don't change, do they?

Of course, we all know such behaviour is not to be encouraged - not least because it could end in not just tears, but a baby or an abortion.

And that's the subject of a wonderful new film causing controversy in America, which has just opened here.

Obvious Child tells the truth about abortion and that's something few women would shout openly and which pro-life groups would rather suppress.

For the fact is that for many people who have had one, including myself, an abortion is no big deal.

Why is it that a woman who offs her baby and then brags about it in public is called "brave" (the word apears in the caption) while a woman who maks the far more enlightened, justice-minded, compassionate, and responsible choice of preparing an adoption plan for her child is --- well, she's not called anything because of this total societal silencing which pretends that these life-respecting options, and these women, just don't exist.

I give my respect to the MANY women who have placed their babies with Moms & Dads who will care for them and love them.

No big deal?

Tell that to a couple grieving over a miscarriage. I’ve been there. If someone had said No Big Deal at that time, I would have likely gone to jail after I calmed down.

I have to look, but the charge was so minor that it caused a major uproar. Really minor.

There are no "unwanted" babies. There are however countless couples who want desperately to adopt.

No big deal

Not for a cold, callous woman with no conscience.

Bell Mooney, you demonic bitch. I am unable to father children. I have been married twice to women who have had abortions. One had three, the other had one. They are both haunted by their experience.

Sorry, it was not manslaughter. It was like having her spleen removed as a result of the accident:

Murder or Miscarriage? Grieving Mom Crusades for Unborn Son

But not according to Colorado law. "I was told that because my son did not take a breath, he was not considered a person," she said. "He was considered part of my injuries—a loss of a pregnancy." In her case, a repeat drunk driver named Gary Sheats pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and vehicular assault.

I saw a great bumper sticker the other day that I want to get. It said, "Abortion is Forever. Get the Facts."

this just illustrates the absurdity in our personhood laws b/c of the libtard left. the utter inconsistency and hypocrisy that exists.

our position is simple. theirs’runs you into loops and loops of liberal pretzel logic and gives you people like this woman who are in disbelief.

and i think penalties should take into account if it’s an accident versus an accident under the influence.

Yes, I can see why people found that offensive.

Of course laws that would make what the driver did a crime and laws permitting abortion are on a complete logical collision course.

I think almost everyone realizes (whether they admit it or not, even to themselves) there’s a problem with your life’s worth hinging on the judgment of another, if you are “wanted” or not. I think we’ve all experienced being “unwanted” even if it was just getting dumped in the 8th grade or something like that.

Brutal to think you could be killed because of another’s judgement of your value to them.

if you have no concern at all for the life of the baby, and it is a baby, then of course it’s no big deal......sounds like Hillary, what’s the difference.......

“More women will recognise the situation than will want to admit it.”

Well...when I was growing up, you often knew who “those” girls were because there were far less of them than there were of the contrary. At least where, and when I grew up.

More importantly, God is not going to think it “no big deal” when you are standing before HIM on “Judgment Day”. Women guilty of this should repent of having done that to their baby, and ask for forgiveness for having done it. AND for thinking it to be “no big deal”. Personally, I cannot think of anything worse than killing your own child. Born, or unborn. Such an act, breaks God’s heart, and excites Satan’s.
