Half of North American bird species threatened by climate change
LA Times ^ | September 8, 2014 | Louis Sahagun

Half of all bird species in North America — including the bald eagle — are at risk of severe population decline by 2080 if the swift pace of global warming continues, the National Audubon Society concluded in a study released Monday.

"The scale of the disruption we're projecting is a real punch in the gut," said Gary Langham, chief Audubon scientist.

Langham led an Audubon study that examined more than 500 bird species and determined that more than 300 in Canada and the United States face large climate shifts that could reduce their habitat by half or more by 2080.

I burn a tire every Earth Day but I feel compelled to burn one this weekend in support of the birds.

We moved to the coast in the Pacific northwest in 2003. Shortly thereafter, Algore told the world the seas would rise 7 feet in the next ten years. We marked some control points on the dock at our marina.

10 years hence the high and low waterlines have not moved an inch. (jus' sayin')

But, every year a new study showing why we need to give our money to the UN comes out.

Another pack of leftist rats on the bandwagon. A quick history lesson:

From Peter Berle (President of the National Audubon Society from 1985 to 1995): “We reject the idea of private property”

And from Brock Evans, his VP: “Let’s be unreasonable; let’s take it all.”

Reduce your lifestyle,
give the elites more power over you,
curtail all freedoms you enjoy,

and the birds will be saved.

A leftist/Satanic perversion of Jesus’ words:
Matt 19:21
Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

That’s a good point, and I further wonder how many birds are going to die to the instant climate change of solar power plants as they fly over panels...

God, these people are so utterly full of crap ;/

I am especially worried about the Dodo Bird being able to survive. Penguins have already suffered the most. Due to global warming all penguin species have become flightless. We must act now! Sheesh!

What if it wasn’t an asteroid that killed the dinosaurs but a large drop in the level of CO2 in the atmosphere. The drop would have killed off the plants, causing plant eating creatures to starve to death.

Does this mean that pigeons and starlings will go extinct?

What a tragedy!

“What could be missing along with those birds and their ecological niches are their very presence and songs — crucial components of our daily lives and the cultural fabric of our communities,” Langham said.”

What a fag.
