Panera Bread is asking customers not to bring guns into its restaurants. The request places it on a growing list of companies asking guests to refrain from toting firearms into their locations amid an ongoing nationwide debate about gun policy.

I was addressing the fact that how to handle a gun should be common sense. If you read my other posts you’ll find that I also find the brand stupid to nationally announce this.

I don't live there, but based on Panera being there I would see it as a well off or upwardly mobile location.

They don't open stores YET that I've seen in lower class neighborhoods.

IIRC they opened at least one concept store in lower class area where they had no set prices to allow the “poor” to access healthy food. Not sure what happened to that.

To date, the chain hasn't had any material issues with firearms at its stores

So in order to appease a bunch of left wing whiners they'll adopt a position addressing a problem they don't have.
