Democrat Wendy Davis admits to abortions (Abortion Barbie)

Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis, who rose to prominence after her filibuster of Texas’ anti-abortion legislation, reveals in a new campaign memoir that she terminated two pregnancies for medical reasons in the 1990s, including one in which the fetus had developed a severe brain abnormality.

In the book, “Forgetting to Be Afraid,” Davis writes that she had an abortion in 1996 after an exam revealed that the brain of the fetus had developed in complete separation on the right and left sides. She also describes ending an earlier ectopic pregnancy, in which an embryo implants outside the uterus. It is the first time Davis has disclosed the terminated pregnancies since her nearly 13-hour Senate filibuster last year over a tough new Texas abortion law, which set off a chaotic scene in the Texas Capitol that extended past midnight.

David writes that an “indescribable blackness followed” the 1996 pregnancy and that the loss left her forever changed.

...desperately trying to turn a negative into a sympathy vote.

Yes, and beyond the sympathy vote, in the twisted mind of the liberal, this gives her moral authority-- "since she has been through it herself she has the right to be treated with respect about it."

Someone on the site posted this comment. Interesting, and I though I would share it with you three. Blessings to you.

There were two primary sins that God judged Israel and Judah for: One, Idolatry. All of the sins of Israel could be traced back to this, for it is the first commandment. When people depart from the Lord, they are capable of anything. Two, for shedding innocent blood. Judah, under king Manasseh (2 Chronicles 33: 1-9) "built again the high places...and reared up altars to Baalim...and worshiped all the host of heaven"...and "he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the Son of HInnom". Further, "he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger." How many blockbuster movies coming out of Hollywood exalt the same, and are flocked to by the masses of people seeking some new entertainment? 2 Chronicles 34: 24-25 "Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof...Because they have forsaken Me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched" Also read 2 Kings 21:10-16. If the Lord dealt with His own people thus (let's not forget Sodom and Gomorrah, or the antediluvian world), He will surely judge the heathen U.S. for the same sins: abortion is passing children through the fire on the altar of the devil, and idol worship is alive and well.

She’s not trying to win anymore, she’s just trying to get liberals to stuff her campaign fund.

Bingo!

This news could help Abortion Barbie win because abortion is widespread in TX.

Texans are not by any stretch of the imagination going to elect this witch governor.

I hope you are right, and I think you may be, but I will be skeptical until the returns are final.

I still think we will be surprised at how large a vote Abortion Barbie receives.

With DiFi and Boxer being ancient, Wendy would be the perfect senator of the future.

Haven't there been rumors that Congresswoman Maxine Waters is thinking of running for Cal Senate? (If she can stay out of jail)

“In fact, I wonder why anyone would feel the need to share these stories outside of their immediate circle of friends.”

Because the Dems have politicized all parts of life, including medical care. Understand that Davis is a far left Dem nut and you won’t wonder at all.

surgery to remove an ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion.

Admitting she had at least two abortions should catapult Wendy to the top of the polls and into the Gov's office. She’s a shoo-in now....b/c them there Texans love abortions...

That's so true.

Heck, Wendy was already way ahead when she showed women how she handled guys who knocked her up.

She shot 'em in the crotch.

Agreed! She is going to try to make it appear that the pro-life group are unconcerned with the health of the mother.

i don’t believe anyone in the medical community has ever regarded it as an abortion. women who have this done are either having a pregnancy gone wrong or didn’t know they were pregnant, they are not deliberately trying to rid themselves of a baby. also christians know the medical severity of this and the fact no one is forced to die for another, and if the pregnancy is left as is, both will die. and there is no way to save the baby.

an ectopic pregancy is a medical tragedy. an abortion is a moral abomination.

"I could feel her little body tremble violently, as if someone were applying an electric shock to her, and I knew then what I needed to do," Davis writes. "She was suffering."

Sounds like her campaign is not doing so great, and she is desperately trying to turn a negative into a sympathy vote.

Yep.

Is Wendy Davis' political star fading in Texas gubernatorial race? (Fox News ^ | September 2, 2014 | Kelley Beaucar Vlahos) (LOOK AT MEEEEEEE!)

the 1996 pregnancy

NY Times says it was 1997.

More than a year later, Ms. Davis has revealed her own deeply personal abortion story, writing in a memoir that in addition to the ectopic pregnancy in 1994, she ended a second pregnancy for medical reasons in 1997

She had 2 healthy pregnancies and 2 with major complications?

Also in 1996:

Davis first ran for the Fort Worth City Council in 1996, but was defeated by ninety votes.[6][10] After her defeat, Davis sued the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, American Broadcasting Company, and the Disney Company, which at the time owned the Star-Telegram and ABC.[10] The Texas Tribune stated that she alleged "that biased coverage led to her defeat and caused injury to her physical and mental health"
