Let’s say the end game we’re looking at is the difference between ISIS/Assad/Obama (with no dissent in their ranks) and GOP/Boehner/McConnell (with a strong conservative dissent in their ranks). I choose the latter while continuing to squeeze out the moderates and working to build the conservative base/elected officials - sell conservatism (it certainly is getting another look). Get rid of the GOP-e extremists and work on continuing the conservative transformation of the Congress. We have a lot of good people in there and with things teetering on the edge, they need smart not dumb strategy.

Agreed. Thanks to all the folks - with good intentions - that stayed home, we have zippy with valjar in place for these last 4 years to be “more flexible” and boy is he/she ever!!

Work from within and don’t throw a hissy fit and stay home or vote for a dem! The time for heavy work is during the primary. By the time we get to the November election it’s too late to stomp your feet!

IMHO that comment is not nearly spelled out!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to hear your opinion on the I will not vote for so and so...

Versus:

The primary is over and we only have so many choices. Do we choose NOT to VOTE,

Vote yes for the one we didn’t vote for in the primary,

or vote for the Democrat?

Let me tell you about the choices in SD for US Senate.

A Democrat who lost his last election against a true Blue Dog Dem, Stephanie Herseth Sandlin.

A declared independent Larry Pressler, who used to be a Rebublican but now is leaning way democrat and will steal votes from the dem candidate in theory.

The Republican nominee or crowned candidate former two term Governor who is not a conservative and talks a great line but in practice will not be a Ted Cruze or a Mike Lee, but a suspected go along to get along Republican. In his defense is vowing to get rid of Obama Care and the Dept of Ed.

A true conservative running as an Independent in order to run, but will not abandon the Republican Party if he wins, but who lost the previous Governors race, but is definitely a Ted Cruze and Mike Lee type. Critics say if he gets ten percent they will be surprised, and they worry about the chosen candidate being overtaken by the dem due to to many choices.

Same song, same verse, same old lines... You trust the GOPE leadership to respond to conservatives that are left in the Party, really? You believe they give a hoot about conservatives at this point? How have they responded since 2010 other than to shoot us the bird and call us racist.

If you are satisfied with the Vichy leadership go for it and strongly support it. I say enough even if it means out right control of the Congress by liberals rather than the back door approach you support.
