South Carolina teen sues DMV after being told to remove makeup

A 16-year-old in South Carolina is suing the state's Department of Motor Vehicles because the agency won't allow the teen to take a driver's license photo wearing makeup.

Chase Culpepper, who was born male, regularly wears makeup and either androgynous or women's clothing. The teen does not identify with gender-specific pronouns. Culpepper told reporters Tuesday that being ordered by officials to remove what they called a disguise was humiliating.

The lawsuit filed in federal court Tuesday says the DMV violated the teen's rights.

I think as long as they allow women to wear make up they must allow men too as well. If you can wear different colored contact lenses that may not match the eye color description on your license and dye your hair a different color I don’t see how the bureau can put a kabosh on make up.

Yeah it is stupid for him to declare he is a she but if the DL photo is clear and shows the pertinent features and he could be I.D. from it, fine.

All I know is, whenever I'm driving and see a Prius with a rainbow or yellow equality sticker on the back, especially in Clearwater or any other LGBTwhatever-friendly part of town, I'm even more careful at keeping my distance..

You can’t just change your appearance to another sex because you think you are that sex.
And this is one (of many) things I will never understand about lib/prog types. On one hand they tend to be so opposed to GMHO foods, and just about anything that's not "organic". After all, they reason it's not nice to fool Mother Nature. But what could ne more unnatural than altering one's sexual identity? And it's even worse when a minor is put through this "gender reassignment" crap by their parents. Where are child protective services when they're really needed? Oh, yeah, I forgot social workers are mostly hard-core leftists themselves, never mind.
