This is similar to medieval times when people carried a few pieces of gold or silver with them to give the executioner so his sword would be swift and their death as painless as possible.
"Unfortunately, you've grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that's at the root of all our problems. Some of these same voices also do their best to gum up the works. They'll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices. Because what they suggest is that our brave, and creative, and unique experiment in self-rule is somehow just a sham with which we can't be trusted." -- Barack Obama, Tyrant-in-Chief
This week-end, I watched the movie Gladiator (2000) for the first time. I was struck by the similarities between Barack Obama and the villainous emperor Commodus, who murdered his father so that he could become emperor, instead of his rival Maximu, and then set about to rule in a way that would guarantee the end of the Roman Republic forever.
Laz, you hit it on the head.
Ah, but we obviously didn’t defeat the Soviets. The Fifth Column they installed has done its job all too well. We lost the Cold War and sheer inertia won’t allow folks to realize it yet.
NOVA | What Darwin Never Knew
What does Darwin have to do with Obama trying to stop people from renouncing their US citizenship?
Thank you for bringing that to my attention SeekAndFind. I posted to the wrong thread.
Laz.
Back when the Berlin Wall fell I was with a bunch of other officers, including my Squadron Commander and his boss. With all the jubilation going on I commented that we needed to watch out because we were actually becoming communist and we needed to change things as a nation.
Those two Colonels didn’t take my comment very well.
This is the behavior of a 3rd World country.
