I’m not sure about Libya, but I knew they were providing cheap oil to Europe and Africa. I guess compared to the rest of Africa they may have been better off? Honestly, I really do not know that much about Libya.
Think about it. Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Somalia and back to Iraq. All these countries had some type of revolt.
I think Barry is a Globalist along with many in congress. That’s why he does not care IMO.
While ISIS is the destabilization force that the Globalist use when a country will not play ball with them.
Yeap - there’s a new Cold War brewing - Russia just signed with China to start a new authority in the East...this will be serious, as all manufacturing for the most part is driven by China...and these politicians at all levels forced US manufacturers over there...serious stuff if one looks at the economic, social, political, and military levels and how they are connected...very serious stuff!

There is no logical reason to take down 5 nations like he described unless you ARE establishing a caliphate, and knowing that all players involved were adults when Jimmy Carter’s Mujahadeen morphed into the Taliban, they KNOW what can backfire, so, I find this exceptionally off for his conclusion

Mixed feelings on this. The constant citations of Seymour Hersh’s work doesn’t instill a lot of confidence in this analysis. Furthermore I can’t help but get the feeling that there is too much focus on the minutiae of covert activities (which is Hersh’s specialty). I kept waiting for the Mr. X character from JFK to pop up and put it all together for us.
According to this video, the CIA and the State Department set up ISIS to force Assad from power, allowed it to grow into a regional threat and now the US has casus belli to go after ISIS in both Iraq and primarily Syria, which they had planned to all along but where thwarted by Putin.
It’s a known fact that Obama’s foreign policy was to arm all of these jihadi groups in Libya and Syria which led to the formation of ISIS. Now, whether this was Obama’s intention all along or this monster turned on its masters is a subject for the cynics among us. The schizophrenia around here between Obama the evil mad genius and Obama the golfing blunderer causes too much confusion.
People need to start getting out of anti-Obama mode. He’s got two years left and is essentially a lame duck, not withstanding the 2014 electoral results. And if his foreign policy blunders lead us into a nuclear exchange with Russia or a major terrorist attack on the US, then we’ll know it was two years too long.
But the video’s suggestion that public pressure be brought to bear on our covert assets to curtail U.S. “war crimes” doesn’t wash. Citing Malaysia’s indictment of Bush & Blair pretty much nixed that line of thought. We need out covert organizations to continue to carry out the War on Terror which is still ongoing. One thing I haven’t given Obama too much grief on is his penchant for drone strikes. A dead terrorist is a dead terrorist.
Having said that, I agree with the notion that support should be given to Syria to defeat ISIS and the rest of the rebel groups. The fact is that any form of “democracy” established in the middle east will devolve into an islamist state. Non-sectarian strongman are still the order of the day for the middle east. Putin understands that which is why he is propping up the Assad regime.
So it’s the same old story: CIA funds and arms islamist militants, they rise to power, we destroy them. And citing Brzezinski and the Afghan mujahedeen as an example is fallacious since that was dealing with an existential soviet threat and cold war hot spots pop up where you find them whether its 1980’s Afghanistan or Central America. And perhaps that is America’s grand strategy for dealing with the Islamic world: fomenting dissent and eventually destroying the victors of Islamic sectarian warfare. I got no problem with that. We are fond of saying, “let them kill each other.” We sure aren’t going to take on Islam on a fundamental basis which is the only way we’ll eliminate this threat from the planet for good.

A few weeks ago Obama said he didn’t want Iraq to become another Benghazi.
Benghazi was Hillary’s version of the “spontaneous” lie.
Obamas version of the spontaneous lie was the airline plot a few months earlier.
Hillary had her minions at the AP derail Obamas version of the spontaneous lie because Obama had left himself an opening to get reelected.
In Hillary’s version of the spontaneous lie at Benghazi, Obama wasn’t supposed to be reelected.
In Hillary’s version of the spontaneous lie at Benghazi, the attack in Benghazi was supposed to be blamed on Mitt Romney and the republicans collaborating with the terrorist to make Obama look like another Jimmy Carter, an October Surprise II.
All the weapons the Obama adm gave the terrorist from Libya would then be blamed on the republicans collaborating with terrorist.
Remember the stories we got about how the CIA was in Libya to round up the weapons.
The story was supposed to be because the republicans had collaborated with terrorist to attack Benghazi to make Obama look like Jimmy Carter, the terrorist had seized all the weapons the Obama adm. was rounding up.
Everything that’s taking place was supposed to have happened with Mitt Romney as president and Hillary could then use it run against him in 2016.
This has some factual stuff, but the guy is a leftie, wanting to make sure republicans look bad. Just think about some of the stuff. It was initially propagated by the lefties in power circles in DC. Once republicans acted on it...they had it. Now they could accuse the republicans of being war-mongers. Brezinski a man of peace? Yeah, right. He is another leftie. The problem with a lot of this stuff is like the false teachers of the Gospel. They use just enough facts to reel you in and then their theology destroys your faith. Same here. If you are not sure about things, you’ll fall...hook, line and sinker for this stuff. I do believe that we should be supporting Assad, don’t get me wrong, but so much of this stuff has another side to it that is not presented.
