Reckoning Starts in Britain on Abuse of Girls (Rotherham and the rest of the Isle)
NYTimes ^ | KATRIN BENNHOLDS

Posted on 09/01/2014 6:44:06 PM PDT by RoosterRedux

It started on the bumper cars in the children’s arcade of the local shopping mall. Lucy was 12, and a group of teenage boys, handsome and flirtatious, treated her and her friends to free rides and ice cream after school.

Over time, older men were introduced to the girls, while the boys faded away. Soon they were getting rides in real cars, and were offered vodka and marijuana. One man in particular, a Pakistani twice her age and the leader of the group, flattered her and bought her drinks and even a mobile phone. Lucy liked him.

The rapes started gradually, once a week, then every day: by the war memorial in Clifton Park, in an alley near the bus station, in countless taxis and, once, in an apartment where she was locked naked in a room and had to service half a dozen men lined up outside.

She obliged. How could she not? They knew where she lived. “If you don’t come back, we will rape your mother and make you watch,” they would say.

All cultures are equal. Islam is the religion of peace. If you disagree with people who hate you, you are a racist.

In the minutes of a meeting about a girl who had been raped by five men, a police detective refused to put her into the sexual abuse category, saying he knew she had been “100 percent consensual.” She was 12.

Now there's a policeman who belongs in jail...

The authorities were afraid of being called "racists"?

Convenient excuse, but I think not. This was too big and complicated an operation.

They were being paid off big time in cash...and sooner or later it'll come out.

That's my opinion.

I absolutely DESPISE the so-called religion of Islam. It has absolutely NOTHING good about it and, at its very essence, EVIL is at its core.

ALL of its adherents are fools, actually evil or some combination of both.

Yes, about 7 days after the rest of the press picked it up.

After the 9/11 terrorists attacks the BBC had a program where the US not the islamists was villifyied to an audience who approved that thought. Its not really surprising then the authorites in the UK looked the other way while islamists abused UK girls. Islam is saint-like over there.

There are two issues here:

1. Rape and sexual slavery are ok (in the eyes of liberal governments and liberal people everywhere) as long as the perps are brown (esp muslim brown) and the victims are white.

2. All those salaries going to all those public officials, from the very top politicians and city/regional managers, to chiefs of police, to section heads, to the cops on the street. All that money paid out to people NOT DOING THEIR JOBS. Year in year out, decade in decade out.

Of course the first issue is more important than the 2nd, but the 2nd is still very, very important.

There are hundreds, maybe thousands, of people who didn’t commit any rapes themselves, didn’t sell anyone into sexual slavery, but nevertheless deserve a long ride tarred and feathered to a rail. As a bare minimum.

My assumption was less charitable than yours. My best guess is that they were paid to look the other way, but not with cash - paid in services.

This is in the NYTimes?

Don't worry, unless there is some absolutely shockingly new development in this story, you won't hear of it again.

St. Patrick drove the snakes form Ireland.

St. George now calls for Englishmen to drive the snakes out of Britain.

Probably some of each...but I would wager more of cash and various goods of value like electronics, etc.

I always tend to follow the money trail....and it seldom fails me.

“Yes, about 7 days after the rest of the press picked it up.”

They have learned from Obama to “lead from behind.” Or is it “never leave your buddy’s behind,” I forget! Either way Obama’s behavior has got you covered.

I’ve seen the show that you mention - Question Time. Perhaps because I saw it so many years after it first aired (on You Tube) I was surprised that there were at least 5 or 6 members of the audience who were deeply sympathetic to the victims of 9/11 and to America. One British gentleman was wearing an American flag tie. The real villain of that You Tube video was a British muslim journalist who kept badgering our Ambassador about why everyone hated Americans. The other baddies were, of course, muslims in the audience and young male students - the usual skulls full of mush. But there was a lot of support from both the panel and the audience towards Americans - I thought.

I think I saw that show too miss marmelstein. I wanted to put my foot through the screen when that repulsive George Galloway opened his big yap. As far as people in other countries who hate us, they hate us but boy do they sure want to come here don’t they? As the Romans used to say , “Let them hate so long as they fear’’.

It must have been a different show - this particular one did not have Galloway as a guest. It had a muslim journalist, Paddy Landsdown(?) and a Labour pol who, of course, hated America. Also, our ambassador at the time - a classy gentleman was also a guest.

How are you? Hope all is well!

Come to think of it you're right. Anyway that Galloway is an insufferable git*, as the Brits would say.*(’’git’’ is British slang for an annoying person). I'm doing good dear. Boy, did the summer zip by or what? Here we are in September. And right on time my allergies are kicking in!
