The re-election campaign of U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has gained momentum in the last month, propelled by huge leads over Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes in Western and Eastern Kentucky and among men, according to a new Bluegrass Poll.

With less than 10 weeks until Election Day, the poll of 569 likely voters shows McConnell with a 4-point lead over Grimes, up from a 2 point margin a month ago. McConnell now leads Grimes 46 percent to 42 percent...

That was a (ul)(li)(/ul) format. Unordered list. Useful for bulleted lists.

Tables are a different html format.

Oh.

When I was doing my election reports during the past cycles, I kept everything in spreadsheets and generated the html for easy copy/paste into text.

I decided not to do the Senate analysis this time around, because the GOP leadership is either clueless (and the statistical analysis won't help), or they have a different agenda.

Either way, it's a waste of my time this time around. Here is a link to my last report of 2012.

buying into the lie that voting for Republicans was better than voting for a Democrat when Conservatism itself was continually marginalized and harmed by the very people I kept electing to office

That's hardly the point.

I'd be saying the same thing about the RATs if they weren't overt communists, and had some conservatives in their ranks, the conservatives would need to take over that party...but that's not the case.

I seriously doubt that you can find a RINO who was a member of a radical leftist group in college, or who studied and taught Marxism as a professor, but they are worthless opportunists (useful idiots to the WWP)

This is not the same "hold your nose/lesser of two evils" meme, we have so many ticking time bombs both domestically and on the world stage totally due to RAT policies.

We can point to FDR and the mainstreaming of socialism, LBJ, Great Society, MediCaid, Medicare, and the destruction of the black family and black middle class, Carter, responsible for the rise of modern state sponsored terrorism, Clinton and the creation of Bin Laden, Obama, fomenting the "Arab Spring" which gave us ISIS.

Plus, the RATs control the cities, education and the media.

This is all going to hit us like a ton of bricks, and the RATs will do nothing but help them.

There is no easy-street peace-time window to frig around attempting to create a third party.

But I have repented of that sin. Principles must dictate my actions,

Your principles elect democrats, you need to turn it the other way around.

We have one major Republican figure in Maine that I can truly appreciate....Governor Paul LePage, conservative Republican. He got elected with 38% of the vote.

If you want to apply your "third party" principles, run a conservative in the closed primary, and then run a competing independent to pull votes from the RAT.

Thanks for the link. I remember that report. I didn't keep the link, as everything is ephemeral around here unless it's immediately useful.

It's good some remember history. It may not repeat, but it rhymes.

This is not the same "hold your nose/lesser of two evils" meme, we have so many ticking time bombs both domestically and on the world stage totally due to RAT policies.

You mean like GOP-E Ruling Class 'Maverick John McCain who met with and ran interference for ISIS in Syria while Obama was arming them out of the Benghazi Consulate??? That kind of 'Rat policy'???

We can point to FDR and the mainstreaming of socialism, LBJ, Great Society, MediCaid, Medicare, and the destruction of the black family and black middle class, Carter, responsible for the rise of modern state sponsored terrorism, Clinton and the creation of Bin Laden, Obama, fomenting the "Arab Spring" which gave us ISIS.

We can thank the GOP for making those things status quo and relinquishing any opposition to them. We can point to the GOP for surrendering and even enabling those things to continue (like ObamaCare).

This is all going to hit us like a ton of bricks, and the RATs will do nothing but help them.

Same as the GOP-E Ruling Class has been helping them all along. Stooges and Useful Idiots like McConnell.

Your principles elect democrats

Bovine Excrement. My Principles ELECT Conservatives. I cast no vote for Democrats. And don't even try to convince me that refusing to vote for a Liberal Statist with an 'R' after his name is the the same as checking the box for a Democrat. That tiresome intimidation tactic of yours and the GOP has no effect on me. I've repented of falling for it.

Your stupid assertion is like trying to tell a Christian that his obedience to God and refusal to sin helps Satan.

I'm guessing you're off the Christmas card list.

But you never know... I still get bird seed (flower seeds) from Lady Bird Johnson. And she's been dead since Moses was an A1C.

Why do you defend and support liberal republicans?

I don't!

But like it or not, even their unconscious, comatose, near death bodies would still count as members of the Senate, and give the conservatives in the Republican caucus control of the committees and the floor. That is their only value.

The same is true of the RATs, except they would actually bring them in from the nursing home or ICU to cast an important vote.

Still trying to set rules for other people. Still want that control.

You don't get to do that.

If someone wants to run a 3rd party conservative, they don't have to run a liberal to make you happy.

Get over the control thing. You don't get to tell anyone that you haven't abused what to do.

I'll do what I dang well please, and mainly, it's going to be to make you lose. That's the way it works out, since you want liberals to win, and I can't stand 'em.

You do. Every time you insist someone vote for the R, because he's an R, you defend a liberal republican.

Own it. You defend liberal republicans. You defended Romney.

You don't get to tell other people what to do. You might convince them, maybe, but not with a don't vote for that liberal he's a Dem, vote for this liberal, he's a Pub.

I have no use for illiterate, un-educated control freaks.

No, I want the communists to lose.

You're just like the RATs, they hate Republicans more than moslem terrorists. Only you're willing to let your allies in Congress suffer in the minority, and in the process, completely destroy the US.

John Cornyn ranks #2. And he'll tell you all about that. He's right behind Mitch McConnell in the leadership in the Senate. He's a ranking member. Gotta be careful how you say that though. 'He's rank alright' just doesn't cut it for John.

You left out the House of Representatives. That's one half of Congress assembled.

So? What was your point?

I see liberal republicans (which you call, incorrectly, RINOs).

They are normal, regular republicans, in deed and in name.

They are liberal.

A RINO would be someone that acted differently from what normal republicans act.

A conservative. And they damn sure aren't conservative.

You get more and more agitated, unable to control, and then you go off on a 'destroy the US' fantasy/riff.

It's hard to keep up.

It's much easier to get right, and own that you supported liberal republicans in the past.

But you can't say that you are wrong, can you?

Bet no woman ever told you that....

3, 2, 1.....

Allies??????

McConnell declares war on Conservatives 'everywhere' and vows to 'crush us wherever he finds us' - and you say that those Judenrats are allies?????

The fact is that the GOP Leadership HATES Conservatives more than the Democrats do. We already know McCain hates Conservatives more than he does ISIS and 'moderate' Jihadists.

With allies like McConnell and the entirety of the GOP Leadership, the GOP will forever remain in the minority BECAUSE it aids the MarxoFascists in their quest to completely destroy us.

If I knew McConnell would be replaced as leader after the election and relegated to some inane committee head, then he’d be ok with me.

A firebrand Senate Leader would be Jeff Sessions. I’d vote for that in a heartbeat.

Well, it's a little over the top, you comparing the GOP to GOD (well, they have three letters and "GO" in common)

But in that sense, it's more like trying to tell a Christian that his disobedience to God and willingness to sin helps Satan.
