So is it mostly just the Mideast crazies? There are radical Muslim groups in the Philippines. Or does the faith itself just cause many of its adherents to start killing people?
Lebanese Christians (I have relatives) who are Arabs aren't known for threatening to behead heretics and infidels. While millions of Muslims, like my prof, are peaceful, there's something about that religion that causes people to go bloodthirsty crazy.
For 1500 years islam has been a terrorist religion. From the bloody wars of conquest of mohammed to the Ottoman caliphate to the murder of Klinghoffer & the many hijackings of the 70s to the beheadings of today, islam has ALWAYS been a murderous, satanic cult.

Actually, there is a significant challenge to Islam building, in that many are turning to faith in Christ, often under miraculous circumstances. I have a theory that much of this recent push to reassert the dominance of Islam is a defensive reaction to this exodus. God is at work among them, but rather than submit to God, they turn to fighting him and all that is good, and so take themselves even further down the path of inhumanity, the road to perdition.
Well if that's the indicator, the end times are definitely upon us!
