Yes. Always wondered why it was called one of the three “great religions”, it is a cult pure and simple. As well, moderate Muslims such as the one in the editorial want to purge it from those who would “interpret it to make their case”; in that case you’d have to erase parts of the Koran, as well as human history, and that ain’t gonna happen.
Basically they are dealing with a Cognitive dissonance disorder. They may say that they are disgusted by this barbarism, and in some level they may really disagree with it, yet they will still send money to support these 'true believers' (the koranimal butchers). I think at some point - unless they come to Christ and incur the danger that comes with it (often a death sentence for those that leave the islam cult - and often by your own relatives), they click in by coming 'true believers' themselves.
Pretending that islam is a religion does not help - particularly calling it a a 'religion of peace'. It is a cult of death that will destroy nations unless actively fought and opposed. Letting the infestation within one's shores is a death wish for your nation.
The Koran is very clear (It is a difficult read but worth the effort on the ‘Know your enemy’ principle) Non believers are to be converted or killed. Temporary enslavement is permissible as are lying, cheating, stealing, torture and mutilation prior to the killing of those who refuse to submit. Specific guidelines are given on how to beat your wife and children and how to treat nonbelievers prior to killing them.
It is the perfect pirates religion - tailor made for Arab bandits. There is no fixing it.
The only thing wrong with Muslims is Islam. Well that and 1000 years of marrying first cousins. :-)

There's still the question of what the reward for a Fat Wad is, though. Surely there has to be some sort of pay scale. You know, "x" for a beheading, "x*2" for a rape followed by the murder of a rape victim, "x* ??" for carrying out a Fat Wad. Just selling someone into slavery, naturally, probably doesn't get you any additional Virgins in Paradise Points since it pays off here and now.
Which gets to the really interesting part, are there some guys who get multiples of the 72 Virgins? You know the Profit had this all figured out so maybe it's a case of some goat eating the palm leaf the commission scale was written on.
Then again, maybe there's a limit of 72 virgins and the rest is paid in goats, camels, and horses.

Remember the millions of Muslims around the world who took to the streets in protest after September 11th? Remember their outrage that such a tiny minority of Muslims would do such a thing in the name of Islam??
When I saw video of tens of thousands of Muslims dancing in the streets after 9/11, I would have had no hesitation in releasing a nuclear bomb in their midst.

I'm personally amazed that Rushdie is still a Muslim but then again, he's what I'd call a really good author, either. When you get past what was "shocking" in his work and made a name for him there's not much to the book that led to a Fat Wad being put on him. For anyone who has studied history and knows about Iz Lame from something other than being brainwashed with it since childhood, his book wasn't shocking at all.
The only shocking thing was that it was a Muzzie who was saying what anyone who cared and wasn't brainwashed already knew.
