This is exactly how this will play out:
The shutdown WILL occur on Oct 1. No noticeable effects for a while.
On or about October 15, Obama will pull the plug on the EBT cards and blame Republicans.
From October 15 - November 1st, increasing levels of riots will occur in major cities. The entire time, Obama and the Propaganda Corps (ABC NBC CBS CNN NYT) will blame it on the shutdown and on Republicans.
November 1st through 7th, Obama will demand Democrats get to the polls to restore government services.
Democrats will turn out in numbers never seen before on an off year.
Republicans will not take the Senate and will lose the House. Obama will keep importing Latinos at a breakneck speed from then on. There will be no threat of impeachment or limitation any more.
The coup will be complete.
Some people remark that the States administer EBT. True, but in 2013, during the government shutdown, the Feds were about ready to pull the plug on the states. Please note this letter:

I hear what you’re saying. If it were just O, I would agree. That he would set fire to the house as his term is ending.
But I think O has always been a ‘run man.’ He’s never called his own shots. It’s why he can be ‘no drama obama.’ He pledged himself to certain mentors, certain causes, certain ... intentions. He’s not making this stuff up himself. Otherwise, and ego like his would try to defend it.
He didn’t find or con his way into Harvard, heading the Law Review, Win the Senate by smearing his opponents, win the presidency. This wasn’t O and it wasn’t the Chicogo mob politics.
A Strategy is not a Conspiracy. That’s why I hesitate to use the phrase ‘forces at work.’ But there are conditions and intentions. There are intentions moving conditions a certain direction. It’s not Democrats, although by their very nature, they help. Same with Liberals. Mostly even their leadership is useful idiots.
But Obama is not even a Liberal. He uses Liberalism as a means to polarize. But I promise you he doesn’t give a rats ass about gays, blacks, hispanics, the poor. He’s actually void of love and hate.
He’s a major ACTOR, but not a hand in the story.
Those conditions ... and interests pulling strings, who are both creating and taking advantage of conditions ... would not, I think, write the story as Laz laid it out. I say that only because I don’t think it’s the most effective strategy on their part. IT STANDS A CHANCE OF FAILING.
Wise armies never need to actually attack. They would prefer to walk into a village once the villagers are all dead or hypnotized or begging for the leadership to be thrown out. That is not us yet.
There is way too much infrastructure work (crumbling( left to do before the house is truly rotted. And there are still enough backbones left. I think what they need to wait for is for the generation of 20 somethings to be 40 somethings before actually kicking the post.
Then, they can walk into the village, welcomed as saviors by everyone ... saving the village from the very plague they created, intentionally.
So that’s where I’m coming from. What I see, if we should fail, is far worse, and far less painful, if we fail. Forgetting is what kills most civilizations. Omission, Distraction.
Obama doesn’t just create distractions, in a way, he is one. He’s gone from Jesus to Lightning Rod. In both cases, everyone’s transfixed, and no one is watching the devil slip in the back door.
Again, it’s why Obama seems so cool. He doesn’t care about the criticism because he doesn’t care about the praise. He laughs at those who love him, and those who hate him. They are both helping him because staring at the whacky tree, they miss the movement of the forest.
Something like that anyway ....
Problem is, he is either very clever or very stupid. He can’t be both, and we can’t discern which it is.

If riots via flash mobs start happening in other than black Urban Feral habitats, Americans will just arm up and deal with the danger themselves. They never really could count on the police, and SCOTUS said the police are not responsible for crime prevention. To the best of my knowledge, cops can’t even walk on water, a rather less daunting task than determining/preventing which Urban Feral will go “full feral”.
Mr. Cop can’t prevent crime, and history and SCOTUS agree. So, who could prevent crime, and reduce or virtually eliminate violent crime in America???

I suggest that police departments are like other organizations and can operate with a 10% cut. Take some of the money spent on inflated salaries, benefits, ad nauseam and use it to pay bounties of dead violent criminals.
It will work. Then do the same the following year. Rinse and repeat until crime becomes sufficiently rare.
I hereby bring the readers attention to the fact that in Urban Feral land, the criminals are known to the rest of the residents. Now they are cowed, afraid of retaliation if they were to file a charge against said Urban Ferals, or appear in court against an Urban Feral. With the return of Mr. Bounty, small arms sales would skyrocket in Urban Feral land and the presently helpless prey would suddenly sprout round, hollow(.357, .40, .45 bore) steel fangs.
Mr. Bounty is capable of empowering an armed citizen to work real miracles of transubstantiation. Mr. Bounty and the armed citizen can transform a violent criminal into a harvestable resource.

As for what our side is promising, the Age Of Political Promises had better be past. We must cut welfare, shut down whole Gubment agencies, slash regulations, and rebuild out military. Not promise - just do it.
As for rioters burning/destroying part of a city, do not rebuild. Not with tax money.

If rebuilding a riot destroyed building is really that essential and said rebuilding program can pay for itself, I hold that the market will rebuild. If not, then not.
