Two columns of Russian tanks and military vehicles fired Grad missiles at a border post in southeastern Ukraine, then rolled into the country Thursday as Ukraine's overmatched border guards fled, a top Ukrainian official said.

The comments by Col. Andriy Lysenko, a spokesman for Ukraine's National Security Council, and other statements from NATO, the pro-Russian separatists in Ukraine and the United States left no doubt that the Russian military had invaded southeastern Ukraine.

A top NATO official said at least 1,000 Russian troops have poured into Ukraine with sophisticated equipment and have been in direct "contact" with Ukrainian soldiers, resulting in casualties. He called that a conservative estimate and said another 20,000 Russian troops were right over the Russian border.

Russians are getting killed in Ukraine, thousands of them, but Motherland denies - they are all died of poor health. Putin is desperate, sending young inexperienced conscripts to be “processed” by hardened and angry Ukrainian forces.

Instead of denying it... they are now called “volunteers”... who have access to entire armored columns apparently. lolz

Nato says 1,000
The new Rebel Commander says 3,000
Kiev says 20,000

And you wonder why people are saying “Cry Wolf” and Ukraine in the same sentence?

There are lots of nations nationals fighting in Ukraine, as well. Poles and a couple of Americans fighting on both sides. The Caucusus, AT LEAST 50 anti-fascist Greeks, some French ex-naval officers for the rebels. And those are just the ones we know about.

Just because Russia won’t admit how many regular army they sent, it means they are not there?

That is ridiculous. There ARE thousands. At least two columns of worth regular Russian armor, and support. And that is just one small area.

I noticed you left out the neo-nazi’s fighting on the Russian side.

starting to sound a lot like how world war one started. a big giant melting pot of hate from all over - just swirl in a little mustard (gas) and good old yankee noodles and **BAMM** you’ve got World War III. While many would say please pass the popcorn, i would rather say . . . pray . . . that ICBMs had a very short shelf life that no one knew about.

I said a YEAR AGO, during the Syria debacle, that Obama was slow-walking the world right into WW3.

Event since have not proven me wrong.

And, Putin continues to play dummy. Putin is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he not only knows about the Russian terror campaign, he has ordered it. If he can't bring down another commercial airliner, he will make his Ukrainian neighbors pay dearly for any personal freedoms that they attempt to enjoy.

Will it be car bombs? Viruses? Nobody knows yet. Hopefully, somebody will get the opportunity to rid the world of Putin soon.

German tanks, Russian tanks, history repeats.

Sounds like the sanitary napkin of media outlets.

Putin will continue to invade other countries for whatever territory he wants, he knows the “west” won’t do anything. Look what happened during the invasion of Georgia. Hardly a peep then either.

Well, I think it makes sense to ask why Putin feels the need to intervene in the nations that serve as a buffer for Russia. Where did his foreign policy go wrong? Why was he unable to maintain friendly relations with these countries and peoples? He needs them, right? Where did he screw up?

In the same regard, it makes sense to ask why his domestic economic policies have been such a failure. Why is Russia actually losing population each year? Why is the Russian economy so anemic? Why can't there be at least some growth? Why is everything going downhill under Putin?

At some point, we have to recognize the obvious - Putin's no genius; he's an incompetent jerk. But, he's surrounded by his gangster friends and so it won't be easy to get rid of him. He'll just keep screwing things up until his gangster friends get rid of him.
