GOP won big in 1994 because they campaigned on issues. Where is the campaign this year?

It seems to be "Shut up and take the money from the Chamber"

The GOPe is just plain stupid.

The issue campaign was played in Mississippi. The GOP establishment will have their cake and eat it too.

The national GOPe shows every sign of having been compromised or in active collaboration with the enemy. Our only hope is that local races in total will result in a Republican victory. The national party saves its most aggressive and vicious attacks for targeted conservatives.

Its : ‘Vote for me to show that you are mad at Obama’

Pretty simple and may work for this year, but wont work for 2016.

“Have you seen the chairman of the RNC or anybody, potential presidential candidate, I don’t care, anybody define what the Republican Party stands for at this moment? Have you heard anybody say, “We have got to stop the spending”? Have you heard any Republicans say, “We’ve got to reduce the deficit,” the national debt.”

They all caught the Liberal bug of saying nothing unless absolutely necessary.

This way they are not on the record with a commitment to ANYTHING.

It works for Liberals because their voter base are not demanding and do not care about facts and details.

The GOP has YET to learn that Conservatives are clear thinkers and articulate.

I don’t know how many times the GOP has to have its face rubbed in the facts and how many times they have to lose.... but I am not optimistic about their ability to get on message and STAY THERE!

That makes them useless because they represent NO ONE!

Maybe they’re all sitting around in a back room somewhere waiting for all the pieces to fit neatly into place and then they will come forward AS IF they had a plan all along.

IDIOTIC!

They don’t want to win. I think they see what’s coming and don’t want to be thought of as the party that was responsible for it.

Of course, the media will blame them anyway.

I’m not searching to find the GOP campaign. It’s a fool’s errand. Pick and support conservatives as they come on a case by case basis. Quit dropping precious resources down the GOP rabbit hole.

[RUSH}...Larry Sabato, who is the political scientist extraordinaire at the University of Virginia, alarmed many on the Republican side by saying (paraphrasing), "What wave? I don't see any evidence of a Republican wave election victory." Everybody's been talking about it under the assumption that things are so bad, that people are so fed up that they're gonna automatically vote for Republicans. That they'll keep the House. That they'll pick up enough seats in the Senate to control it and maybe even blow it out.

And then Sabato came along yesterday and said, "What wave? I don't see any wave." And then that caused Jim Geraghty at The Campaign Spot at National Review Online -- it's a blog post -- Geraghty said, "Where's the polling data on these Senate races?" There isn't any polling data out there on these Senate races. No wonder nobody's talking about the wave. The media's not doing any polling data on all of these Democrat seats in the Senate that are vulnerable. There's no polling data. That's why there's no report of a wave; the media has stopped polling it.

Why would they stop polling? Because they don't want to report the results. Why wouldn't they care about that? Why wouldn't they want to report the results? Because the results apparently would not advance the Democrat agenda. You see, polling is not anything related to news. Polling is the creation of news. Polling is all part of advancing the Democrat Party agenda. Polling is designed to either uplift the psychology of the public or to depress the psychology of the public, and in our case, most polling, there are exceptions, but most reports of poll results are designed to depress you.

While it's a good point, why should anyone care if Republicans manage to win additional seats? What is needed is for more conservatives to win seats, not more Republicans.

What issues? They don’t agree on social issues, they don’t agree on fiscal issues, or foreign policy. The only issue Congressional Republicans feel strongly about is that we really really need amnesty.

Who will formulate this campaign? The GOP has no one in the leadership who can articulate any benefit to free enterprise, the rule of law, sanctity of contracts, security of borders, or any of the principles enunciated in the Declaration or the Constitution. They are not familiar with them, they do not believe them, they do not understand them. To the GOP leadership it is a foreign language. We cannot expect them [and most of us don’t] to be able to argue a case in a language they cannot speak.

Everybody...it seems...has an opinion on the upcoming mid-term elections. I see it, this way: This is America’s last chance to stop the destruction of these United States of America. I certainly...conservative that I am, are not happy, or satisfied with every Republican candidate.....but, I know if we the people do not vote against every single Democrat running for office this year, we will lose our future, our country and most of all...our freedom!!! It is as simple as that!!!

Now......if you want Obama, Holder, Rice, Pelosi, Reid, Biden, Sharpton, Jarrett, etc. and all the Obamabot, Democrat Party calling the shots to steal your freedom, put you in harm’s way, and opportunity to succeed...you go right ahead and vote for all the Democrat traitors and low life vermin!!! Or....you can stay home and not vote....which is the same as voting for a Democrat!!! Your fate is in your very own hands!!!

They don’t want to win.

Could be true. It seems to be an accumulation of shell shock from the media, money from the Chamber, a bit of cowardice, and a GOPE leadership that is genuinely stupid.

NOT a great combination for overcoming the monster that is the progressive machine.

I’d love to see Trey Goudy step forward. His presence could and would lift the spirits of conservatives through out this once great nation.

Their philophy is simple this year...right or wrong. They traded a lot to do a 2 year budget agreement at the start of the year to avoid any hint of a shutdown or standoff on debt ceilings. They took all the potential negative headlines off the table. They saw a nation unhappy with Obama, and feel if they stay quiet and don’t screw up they win a Senate majority.

They do this knowing with Obama and Harry Reid in charge, they have virtually nothing to gain from a protracted battle. I can’t say this is a terrible strategy...given the ineptitude of our leadership. Of course, I don’t know what we get once we do get a Senate majority....no Reid, which is nice.
