The sad truth remains that 5% of FReepers support 100% of FR. Can you imagine what it would be like if we had 10% support? These things would wrap up in days, not months.
When I joined FR ten years ago, it was not uncommon to git 'er done in 7-10 days. It was less expensive 10 years ago, but, it really shouldn't take two months.
Not everybody can donate. I get that. But, I'm certain that we have some among the 95% that are FReeploading. Harsh words, but I know it's true.
Imagine no FR. No way to get the REAL news that affects us all. No pool of talent to ferret out the real truth. No ability to call BS when we see it.
The list goes on.
We need your help. We need new donors. We need new blood.

Those, who use Free Republic without donating are no different than the free loaders on welfare. They have been known for a long time as Freep Loaders.
The first question re the Freep Loaders, is how many are trolls and since they are not conservatives. When you see a constant negative poster, check to see if they are monthly or yearly donor. Most are Freep Loaders. They contribute zero $ and zero value with their negative dribble.
If $5/month is really too much to donate, they are headed for the human refuse pile with other free loaders in life, who expect the rest of us to carry their share in this aspect of their life.

I contribute to FR monetarily and have been involved with the immigration issue on a daily basis as part of a grassroots organization that lobbies on the Hill and in Richmond.
I asked what else you do for FR not everyone else.
“FreepLoader” is a very good word. Glad you came up with it. I’ll use it more often now that it’s in my freeper’s dictionary.
Why would I not see a person’s participation on this site as an “in kind” payment? Simply because bartering requires the agreement of both parties. Free Republic, I imagine, would argue that it provides the opportunity for conservative discussion and posting. That is its service provided.
What are the odds that my internet provider, which gives me the opportunity to use the internet, would subtract from my bill each time I use their service? My argument will be that I do them a service in using that service and keeping it relevant.
I participate actively in the FR forum including posting articles. I attended the national convention we had several years ago and I have participated in several events with the local FR chapter. In sum, I fully support FR and encourage my friends to participate ever since I joined in 2003. It is the best conservative website period.
Do you see any? Let me answer for you.
No you don't. And that is increasingly rare and a distinctive that we need to support.

I have a very fast internet connection, and a fairly fast computer. I have found the same slowness and obtrusive ads on the other sites. I’m getting to the point, I don’t really want to go to the other sites when they are linked.
