Obama crafts legal rationale for immigration steps

The White House is crafting a blame-it-on-Congress legal justification to back up President Barack Obama's impending executive actions on immigration.

Facing an expected onslaught of opposition, the administration plans to argue that Congress failed to provide enough resources to fully enforce U.S. laws, thereby ceding wide latitude to White House to prioritize deportations of the 11.5 million people who are in the country illegally, administration officials and legal experts said. But Republicans, too, are exploring their legal options for stopping Obama from what they've deemed egregious presidential overreaching.

A self-imposed, end-of-summer deadline to act on immigration is rapidly approaching. While Obama has yet to receive the formal recommendations he's requested from Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, administration officials said the president is intimately familiar with the universe of options and won't spend much time deliberating once Johnson delivers his recommendations.

After resisting calls to act alone in hopes Congress would pass a comprehensive immigration fix, Obama in June bowed to immigration activists and said that "if Congress will not do their job, at least we can do ours." The most sweeping, controversial step under consideration involves halting deportation for millions, a major expansion of a 2012 Obama program that deferred prosecutions for those brought here illegally as children.

Roughly half a million have benefited from that program, known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or DACA.

But while prosecutors are routinely expected to use their discretion on a case-by-case basis, such blanket exempting of entire categories of people has never been done on the scale of what Obama is considering — potentially involving many millions of people if he extends relief to parents of DACA children, close relatives of U.S. citizens or immigrants with clean criminal records.

Obama can't wait to E/O amnesty----b/c the Dummies need a smoke-screen to disguise the massive 2014 voter fraud machine. The Dummies got names of the swarmers already registered to vote---they'll send in ringers to vote the names on election day.

============================================

USCIS rubber-stamper Leon Rodriguez, a recent Obama appointee, oversees the legitimization of the border swarm.....emanating from 144 countries.

Rodriguez also administers EB-5 visas as head of USCIS (A DHS agency).....EB-5's are said to involve major threats to US national security:

BACKSTORY In an earlier statement----citing a Homeland Security Investigations memo----Sen Charles Grassley said the oversight federal agency ICE identified key vulnerabilities in EB-5 visas:

1) Export of sensitive technology/economic espionage.

2) Use by foreign government agents/espionage.

3) Use by terrorists.

4) Investment fraud by regional center.

5) Investment fraud by investors.

6) Fraud conspiracies by investors and regional center.

7) Illicit finance/money laundering.

==================================================

Rodriguez's confirmation hearings revealed he was a board member of Casa Maryland---a latino-centric advocacy group---pushing for unlimited immigration, and has connections to nationwide immigrant groups.

There is no such thing as a blame-it-on-Congress legal justification.

For the chief executive to attempt to take power into his or her hands which Congress rightfully holds (and upon which it has chosen not to act) — is treason.

Period.

Has anyone ever seen a poll, other than one loaded down with La Raza immigration pimps, that shows that the AMERICAN people are chomping at the bit to give all of the illegal alien invaders amnesty and a free whack at the BIG PINATA?! I have yet to meet another American who told me, “Dang! I wish Obama and the fools on the Hill would hurry up and pass amnesty.”

Why bother crafting any rationale? He does whatever he wants anyway.

And gets away with it. The country no longer exists.

Every week it seems we have a new accusation (read example) of criminal behavior against the hero of Benghazi. Nothing has been done and nothing will be done.

Get ready for 2.5 more years.

“the president is intimately familiar with the universe of options “

Now that’s LOL! funny. Obama’s brain’s limit is one option-whatever he’s told.

Just be cause King Obama wants something that congress won’t give him doesn’t mean that congress isn’t doing its job.

He forgets that members of congress were elected too.
And their job is to represent the wishes and interests of the citizens in their districts.

If they were getting swamped by e-mails from their constituents demanding they pass a bill granting amnesty to illegals you can bet they would do it.

But the opposite is true - they are swamped by demands that they do not pass an amnesty bill just because that is what King Obama wants.

He’s probably waited for Labor Day weekend for a document dump and ruling, while most people are distracted by the holiday.

King Obama wants something ...

Clearly, Ø's violated large portions of the Constitution, and is ripping up the Declaration. What's next for Ø to shred... the Magna Carta?

I think Obama is getting chilly feet on this.

At one time he was licking his chops at all the new Hispanic votes. But many democrats from his base don't like the new competition for jobs that this would cause.

Problem is...the longer he waits the more this impacts the mid terms...in a negative way for the Dems.

There is no way the squidgy Republicans will impeach the first (half) black president. Obama is in a win-win situation. He does whatever he wants, and if the Republicans try to impeach him, he can scream racism and stir up his base. If they don’t try to stop him, he gets his way without a fuss.

Harry Reid is holding up legislation in the Senate. Obama should be talking to Harry if there’s a problem with getting legislation passed.

Obama’s “justification” that Congress has not acted is a big lie. His request for extra millions on the illegals problem was for welcoming, housing, busing them around the US & providing them free lawyers to plead that the illegals stay. That’s not controlling our borders, it’s compounding the problem. The House rightly rejected that. The Democrat Senate wanted to pass defacto amnesty. Of course, when Obama acts to grant amnesty & welcome illegals, it is painted as the fault of TEA Party Republicans.
