There were some “folks” in the WDC area a couple years ago who created a controversy at public school when they complained loudly that the school “disrespected “ their daughter by mispronouncing her name. It was something like natisha’goldbanda...and the school didn’t pronounce the apostrophe (i.e., latisha-apostrophe-goldbanda). Sheesh! Talk about being losers. Of course, the DC schools fired a teacher for using the word “niggardly” in class. ...and to think the WDC school system spends an incredible amount of money per student.
