Open it to the world? For what and as what? If the Palestinians were given Switzerland as a state, they would turn it into a sewer within five years. What are they going to do with Gaza that they haven't already done? Mr Blair is indulging in fantasies.

If Obama can stand being with a Brit for a few days Tony and Barak will personally go to Gaza and talk Hamas into submission. They have those skills, at least they think so. Restore? He talks like Gaza isn't run by a terrorist group. Which will have to be removed by force. And as though the Palestinian Authority, in recent weeks bragging about the number of Jews they've killed, is a modern western democracy. Replacing one terror regime with another, success.
More fantasy thinking. Israel should have never agreed to the latest cease fire with the farce of construction supplies and reconstruction allowed. The palis and other Jew haters can lose almost endlessly, Israel can only lose once and the world keeps trying to make sure that Israel loses.
And people Stateside wonder why so many British, myself included, utterly loath this man. The social damage alone to the UK his party did may never be healed.

Restore Gaza to what? How about instead of tunnels they build bridges overhead instead. Nothing to hide, right? And Tony, I would have taken out the million dollar estates owned by Hamas.
