The trip comes less than a month after Brown visited Mexico City on a four-day trade mission. The governor has been prodding California's southern neighbor to take stronger action against climate change. He's also been seeking increased economic ties, including tourism and clean energy technology.

Well I don’t want to pass judgment on him. People who weren’t involved in passing Prop 187 don’t have a reason to be as familiar with what went on as those who had a dog in the fight. It was 20 years ago after all and memories get hazy.

I agree. However when someone who clearly does not know what occurred then claims others do not have the facts, has a tendency to inflame. It's why the poster bailed out of the thread rather quickly after making some of the lefts canned comments.

But the way that Pfaelzer sat on her decision for three years reeked of collusion with Gray Davis.

For those paying attention, there was never a question about this. Davis never supported the measure anyway and clearly wanted it buried.

California and prop 187 was way ahead of the rest of the country on this. This was an historic free election of the people.

The people won big, the clear majority spoke loud and clear, that they'd had enough, voted and won.

In a nutshell the corrupt state government and their federal corrupt co-conspirators declared the election illegal and burned the ballots after the big victory.

Many years after 187 we are now seeing this type of corrupt government intrusion on a daily, wholesale national scale.

And the results of this massive government intrusion regarding 187, can now be seen coast to coast as the illegal invasion millions only escalated.

I have been here just under 3 years and this is a new one for me.

I have never had anyone take my one specific comment and blow it up with false assumptions about my position, what I know and what my involvement in an issue was.

I live in California and have made numerous posts about illegal aliens. So it adds to the puzzlement.

I gave up on the other guy, but I was surprised to see someone else jump in and support his false assumptions about me.

I’m done with you also on this issue, but needed to comment on your post.

Strange.

No one questioned your "position" here and only questioned what you considered to be facts.

Which fact did I get wrong?

The federal court decided against the proposition or that Davis refused to appeal?

Thats alI addressed and you blew it way out of proportion with you false assumptions and rants about what I know.

Are you kidding? We all know what happened. It’s no secret to anyone living. Come on.

And you’ve been told repeatedly *why* all this happened.

Lets cut to the chase, do you deny it was corrupt to core from the beginning and the fix was in before the last ballot was cast?

Did not address why. Never denied anything.

Is this your indirect way of apologizing? You just can’t admit you blew my comment out of proportion and made up positions I did not take.

You can’t accept the two simple facts I pointed out.

You created a one-way fight to go off on a rant.

Last night I said we were done, but I mistakenly picked up the tar baby this morning thinking you would respond rationally and honorably.

I can see I was wrong.

So once again Good-bye.

This is joke. You know and I know it.

Good-bye.

See the tag line. You describe it perfectly.

I've been warning about this for years. The ruling elites love a society such as Mexico's. A tiny class of extremely wealthy live like kings. Meanwhile the peasants are kept poor and ignorant so as to be entirely dependent on the wealthy for their very lives.

There is of course a small middle class to perform professional services (Medical, Legal, Financial, etc) for the rich. However the middle class is deliberately kept small since a large powerful middle class threatens an oligarchy.

I long ago concluded the "plan" is to destroy the American middle class (and it's uppity Constitution) while at the same time importing a subservient lower class. In short, to turn a Constitutional Republic with a large well educated working/middle class into a oligarchy where the super rich rule as kings over a poor and uneducated peasantry.

You are the most disingenuous person I’ve ran into this month on this site.

When told what actually occurred and why, you run for the tall grass fast...

And if you decide to answer my question, ping me.

A lot of legal immigrants to California beginning in the 1970s came from societies with an immensely wealthy elite, a tiny middle class, and a very large peasant class.

This is the Third World model. In societies like this there is little commitment to the “common good”. Loyalty is to the family group, and if you are outside the family group you don’t really count for much.

A variation of this model is being replicated here in California by driving out American natives and replacing them with illegal aliens from all over the world. Loyalty to the ‘family group’ is replaced by loyalty to the wealthy and successful, but the majority of Californians are regarded as no more than peasants.

The more successful of the third world immigrants have been involved in California politics for decades now. When I was hanging around some GOP fundraisers in the 1980s it looked like the recent imports greatly outnumbered American natives. They were purchasing influence with campaign donations.

This likely explains the California GOPe’s lurch to the left over the years- the current GOP nominee for governor is Neel Kashkari, of dot-Indian extraction, who says he voted for Obama, who supports amnesty, abortion, gun restriction, and gay marriage.

RINO hacks Hugh Hewitt and Michael Medved enthusiastically support Neel Kashkari and blackly warned that Tea Party choice Tim Donnelly was dangerous and had to be defeated. That is now the “conservatism” of the GOP establishment.

The ruling classes have thru out almost all of history made war on the middle (merchant) classes once the middle had sufficient wealth to threaten the rulers. We middle class folks in the USA are not an exception. However we do have a Constitution and it is our job to elect representatives that will enforce our Constitution. Until we do that, (looking less likely all the time) we (as a people) will deserve our fate.

Our elected rulers have never let the Constitution interfere with how they govern the country and they aren’t about to start now.

However we do have a Constitution and it is our job to elect representatives that will enforce our Constitution.

I think if the writers and signers of the document were here today, they'd be arrested for being extreme or maybe infiltrated and accused of being domestic terrorist.

I've notices some things over time. Those in GOP and the elected class lie as a matter of routine. Yes, the Dems are worse...Obviously, goes without sayin.

Have you noticed Americans have to beg and plead with them just to support basic common sense things which would actually benefit Americans? But it never happens.

All this while illegals by the millions are treated like first class citizens, as big biz benefits while what's left of the middle class are literally forced to subside their housing, food, medical, education etc.

Like our lawless borders for instance, the declining dollar, public schools, our sovereignty, the middle class, etc. In fact with so many millions of people in this country illegally, I'd guess it's pretty much compromised our electoral process. Getting it back now would be nearly impossible. Over the past 30+ years American citizenship became all but pointless. It seems like they want to divide the once united.

The representatives have become non-representatives who only looking out for themselves, their perks, benefits and government pensions. But they tell people how much they care all the time.

"We're going to take America back" is repeated often by all of them.

Did you notice over many decades government is never reduced in size and scope and only grows larger and larger, more controlling, more punitive? Along with never ending new taxes, regulations, fines, fees etc.

In fact I noticed government is now the biggest employer in the entire country. With more government unionized employees than private sector America now has.

Many get into government and come out millionaires with multiple opulent retirement pensions...Didn't Congress exempt itself from Obama Care while forcing it on private sector middle America?

I think we were warned about public servants becoming the masters.

Just a few things I've noticed over the years.
