Ferguson Ultimatum: Lawmaker Threatens More Civil Unrest If Cop Not Convicted

An outspoken Missouri lawmaker on Friday threatened Ferguson, Missouri, residents and government authorities with more civil unrest such as looting and violence if Police Officer Darren Wilson, who shot and killed unarmed 18-year-old Michael Brown, isn’t convicted by prosecutors, according to CNN’s Jake Tapper.

State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal, who represents Ferguson in the Missouri legislature, has been active in the news media criticizing everyone from the local police department and its chief to Missouri Governor Jay Nixon regarding their response to the shooting of the 6’4″ tall, 290 lbs. Ferguson. She also joined protesters almost every night.

According to CNN’s Jake Tapper, the 39-year-old Democrat all but threatened increased civil unrest and disobedience in the already damaged Ferguson community unless the prosecutor obtains an indictment against Officer Wilson followed by his winning a conviction for murder or other serious felony conviction.

“It’s amazing that Nadal, who is considered an American leader, would make such statements. It really drags down the reputations of politicians even further,” said former police officer and corporate security director Joel Asgasia.

“And except for Fox News Channel and a few other news outlets, she’s being cheered on by members of the news media,” Asgasia added.

State Sen. Chappelle-Nadal continues to be loudly critical of Ferguson and Missouri law enforcement, complaining about police officers wearing protective gear including military-style helmets and driving in armored vehicles. She created controversy last week denigrating the governor on social websites such as Twitter when she tweeted: “You don’t know [expletive] bc you never communicate. [expletive] you, Governor!”

Besides the African American state senator, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder visited Ferguson on Wednesday and was accused of “stoking up” the resentment of blacks.

“I understand that mistrust. I am the Attorney General of the United States. But I am also a black man. I can remember being stopped on the New Jersey turnpike on two occasions and accused of speeding. Pulled over… Let me search your car…Go through the trunk of my car, look under the seats and all this kind of stuff. I remember how humiliating that was and how angry I was and the impact it had on me,” Holder told a crowd of young college students.

The more these idiots open their FAT mouths, the more likely any indictment will get thrown out... Then the rioters should be transported to a prison in either Death Valley, or Northeast Alaska...

You know, if another black guy had shot Michael Brown six times they wouldn’t be doing a thing.

Based on her propensity to cause civil unrest and urge her followers to do damage to personal property for a personal / political cause while violating constitutional protections (due process) I’d say she needs to be removed from office, even more so because her motivations appear to be based on political reasons not serving the interests of justice.

I resent those who labor to replace our legal system with cargo cult, banana republic upheavels so that cases like Ferguson are to be decided by those who throw the biggest riot, or at least threaten to throw the biggest riot. Sometimes I just can’t believe our society has a substantial wing, aided by the MSM, that notifies the public “Do as we say or we’ll riot” and that THIS is their preferred “justice” system. I think it’s kind of funny given that Americans like to watch lawyer based shows. Where are the shows that show lawmakers proposing riots to get what they want?

Well, hell, convict him, innocent or not, just convict him. A$$hats one and all.

Obviously State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal is not aware of the rule of law ... innocent until proven guilty. Every man is entitled to his day in court.

Don’t you mean “run for governor” or “be appointed to Obama’s cabinet” or some such?

It’s all too amusing. Blacks have no leadership. What they have are people who claim to be community leaders, but exercise zero influence over the mobs of scumbags who plague our slums. MLK got booed when he tried to stop the riots. Ditto with any black leaders who tried to step into his shoes. What blacks have are scumbags and political opportunists who try to get ahead on the strength of their supposed influence over the scumbags.

Yeah, I guess that whole due process thing and, oh yeah, determining if he is actually guilty of a crime is too old school. Let’s just convict anyone we assume is guilty. These people are idiots walking the streets like ordinary people. Amazing.

A public official calling for public strife if her demand aren’t met.
Really professional, if you live in central America or the Congo.

Probably a little digging into her background or Google searching would turn that up. Years ago when I was in police training we had an instructor who told us to do a background check on anyone else in the class. I chose her!...lol. When I checked her out I developed some info about her ex-husband that was pretty bad, so bad that if I would have told anyone it might have actually jeopardized her job because it would have implied that she ahead exercised bad judgment and might have sympathy towards criminals. We all had to turn in our assignments and she was the only one that knew who investigated who. Later, of course, it came out who investigated who but I never did tell anyone about the dirt I dug up on her husband and it cemented our bond (she made a recommendation that I become an instructor but I never tried out for it). I haven’t told anyone to this day what it was specifically that I uncovered...: )

This worthless broad should be arrested and her fat butt thrown in jail for inciting violence and the destruction of private property.

She is acting as a surrogate for the administration. This will be a test to see if the local authorities will nail an innocent person to appease (black) rioters.
