This isn't a fringe group the can do this. Their theology cannot be refuted even my moderate Muslims. And deep within the heart of a Muslim is total domination because their ESCHATOLOGY runs parallel to that of Christianity. So they have a larger support, just like ISIS.
As for their HERMENEUTICS, they are literal, very similar to orthodox, fundamental Christians. So no, they are not extremists in that sense. The are actually very orthodox.
