Glenn Beck Rips Conservatives In The Huffington Post
Breitbart ^ | 8/21/2014 | John Nolte

Posted on 08/21/2014 6:51:34 PM PDT by Viennacon

In a wide-ranging interview with The Huffington Post's Howard Fineman, Glenn Beck took the opportunity to again blast conservatives critical of his decision to greet the recent wave of underage illegal immigrants with toys and hot meals. "I don't understand those who cannot see the plight of children," Beck told HuffPo. The border issue is one example. Beck took heat from fellow conservatives for his decision to distribute large amounts of relief supplies through churches and other organizations in McAllen, Texas, to undocumented children caught at the southern border. Sen. Cruz was at his side. Beck's view is that the law says they should not have been admitted and ultimately should not stay. But in the meantime he explains his response in personal terms. "I don't understand those who cannot see the plight of children," he said. "People come here because we have the rule of law, but no one wants their kids to grow up in a society that doesn't understand justice and mercy." The controversy began early last month, when Beck announced that he would provide soccer balls and meals as a way to "help care for some of the roughly 60,000 underage refugees who have crossed into America illegally in 2014." Outside of Beck's distasteful grandstanding and playing the victim with the claim that this would be "deadly to my career" (Beck reportedly makes tens of millions of dollars a year), he tore into conservatives who disagreed with him as looking "like they just want judgment" as opposed to mercy.

I got sooooooo sick of him and his ‘surmons’ placating to the left. Enough. I cancelled my subscription to ‘The Blaze’ and to Dish (by going back to basics).

Beck is a relic from the days when conservatives could afford to have a heart.

I gave up on Beck completely and thoroughly when he embraced fag-marriage. I knew, right then and there, it would be just the beginning. It’s sort of like GOP politicians that decide to embrace an element of gun-control. They cross that line, and it’s always an indication they are about to embark down a certain “enlightened” path where they’ll compromise on anything and everything.

Becomes impossible to trust them on ANY single issue.

What's next? A slot on MSLSD perhaps?

I wish he would leave the Sirius Patriot channel and go over there. His show on Sirius is downright boring.

Beck has really stepped out of his shadow. His ego is a mess, even.

I look for him to end up badly.

Perfectly said. Beck should have taken a page out of Ted Cruz’ playbook, but no, Beck comes back swinging. I was surprised Cruz joined up with Beck, actually. Not much of a plus there, Ted.

I feel sorry for Beck who admittedly is bipolar, has a tough time with rationale. He taught us a lot though, with his big chalk board, but the over the top fear mongering ran its course quickly.

Was Glen worried about the plight and condition of the women and children when they were in their own country? It’s called missionary work. . . . .not grandstanding.

Beck was great when he was on Fox and many people backed him when he spoke out. Then he began to say he regrets things he said as it made people turn off and he began to disown things he said. People don’t know what will be next but they have learned not to defend him when he speaks because tomorrow, he may retract many things. He is going to be used and spit out by the left. He will be viewed as unstable by those who once supported him, not to mention conservatives feeling he is betraying them. He can be great and informative one minute but then he turns into Oprah and Jimmy Swaggart the next.

It’s long past time for ‘KEIB’ in LA to dump Beck.

Glenn has gone back to his roots, liberal nut job, also isn’t he a Mormon, so enough said.

I’m here.

I have supported Beck. I am beginning to hear a cultishness in his pronouncements. Also, he’s gone all Ghandi on us, which won’t stand.

Furthermore, his idea of standing with someone means that you need to state your case in words to convince them. I am coming to believe that you must agree with him on some point to have common ground on everything.

Finally, things are going to his head. His personal journey is not mine. Half the time now, I have him on as white noise, so I can’t say for certain what he is talking about because I am not really listening.

In sum, he disheartens me as often as he has good points to make. He’s a good businessman, so I’ll give him that.

Oh. And I loved doing the research during his Fox days, when I ran/helped run the daily thread. I learned a lot then.

It's the worst, isn't it? I catch it, only, bringing my son to school in the morning. This week he's had the clown posse filling in for him because he's taking the week off.

Beck nauseates me. He's a complete megalomaniac.

The way he's constantly reminding his two side kicks that he signs really makes him look like an ass too.
