The State Department downplayed comments from Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL or ISIS) leaders that they are at war with America, arguing that their violence is not directed at any particular country or race.
At a briefing Thursday, a reporter brought up anti-American comments from ISIL leaders: “I mean, even they are announcing, ISIL people in their message, whatever, the recorded message, other messages, that now we are in a war with America.”
“This is not about ISIL versus the United States,” State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf objected. “They are killing anyone who gets in their way: Sunnis, Shia Muslims, Christians, Yazidis, Iraqis, Syrians, anyone who gets in their way — and now an American.”
“So this is not about what the United States is or isn’t doing,” Harf continued. “This is about ISIL stated a commitment to murder, rape, enslave people who don’t agree with their ideology and who get in their way.”
“But they are announcing that it’s a war against America,” the reporter pressed. “Right or wrong, that’s what they are saying.”
Harf maintained, “Well, they can say whatever they’d like, but what I am making clear is that’s not what ISIL represents. And they don’t represent any religion. They are at war with everybody they come into contact with.”
I really think that the bozo’s in charge want another terrorist attack on our homeland as long as they are ones in charge. They are acting like they are inviting one.
Just history repeating itself... Under Clinton, the same department denied we were at war with Al Queda.... Then we got hit on 9/11 and their existence and everything else wrong in America has been Bush’s fault from that point on...
The Chinese portray him as a fat, bald China man. He was, without doubt, a VERY skinny, aesthete Indian with long, long (never cut) hair: the complete opposite.
Go figure.
The Indians also rejected an alphabet for all their past because they refused to put their beautiful words of God into print and therefore defile them.
Then, they were conquered by Alexander the Great and he IMPOSED the Greek alphabet on them and, by the first century A.D. they developed their own alphabet. Since then all their holy, sacred works have been written down.
The works aren't exact since, before then, all tradition was oral and we KNOW that oral traditions can't hold a CANDLE to the written traditions...especially after the third generation. So, all the "dates" of births, lives and deaths are TRULY guessimates. No one cares.
By that, of course, you mean that is it is STILL Bush's fault.

But the ISIL IS a national entity - they have said so themselves. And they have declared war on the entity once known as “the United States of America”.
There is some question whether the territory once known as “the United States of America” is in fact still a nation, as the term is defined. No borders, no leadership, chaos in the heartland, and apparently no body of governing principles.
Ultimately, this will be a question of will. Whoever has the will will win. These people fill the vacuum left when the US left.
This is Islam: a command that means ‘submit.’ Convert, or die. Perhaps pay a tax, but suffer for that tax, if we let you, and prepare to be treated like cattle.
It demands total obeisance, will and discipline. Do we have the same?

Maybe if the Bamster would just send them a dvd of his original apology tour speeches to the world, the Islamic State leaders would realize that they really like us and especially the Bamster, and will just forget the whole thing. (sarc)

We know what they say, you know - that they intend to murder or enslave everyone who refuses to submit - but they don’t really mean it. Islam is, as we all know, a religion of Peace. /s

I don’t know, I’m starting to really get a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach about Obama.
He had to know, he had to know that repairing to the golf course after speaking of the unspeakable murder of that man would just not....look right.
I think we all get it, he wasn’t going to go push the nuclear red button, or anything like that, but does he not have one single person anywhere around him who can say: think again?
What about Michelle, I don’t like her, but I don’t think she is quite as stupid and obtuse as her husband is.
I think he just doesn’t get it. Which is very bad, because let’s put it this way, when it comes to murder, mayhem and jihad, the JVers of Isis seem to have it down in spades.
I think it is extremely bad that the British PM took the murder of an American more seriously than the POTUS.
