I’m discussing what Rick Perry said today not what he said in 2012.
Today Perry said: “Air power is a major part of it, but it’s also going to take more special operations, intelligence, and advisor support than we’ve offered so far,” Perry said”
Nowhere in that statement did Rick Perry say “ I want to send US troops back to Iraq”.
Perry is for putting troops back in Iraq and has held that position for years. You are free, however, to believe what
what you will. I think we can both agree that it is a losing strategy.
I’m agains’t putting troops back in Iraq. I just am not going to distort what Perry is saying. If he comes out and says we need to send 50,000 troops to Iraq I will publicly disagree. So far he is not saying that. You cannot just say well he wants to put troops back in Iraq if he’s not saying it.

I am a proud Cruz supporting Texan, who now is also supporting an honorable man and governor who is dealing with a vile legal attack of political nature. And while I don't agree with all of Perry's positions, your comment is way over the top. Maybe you are the "clueless dumbass" in this case.

Well I have to assume you can read as well as I can. I can only post the guy’s direct quote so many times without it making you look like you haven’t read it. Rick Perry is not saying send a lot of troops to Iraq. If and when he does then I will disagree with him.
I am for increased airstrikes and advisors/CIA/special forces to try to tape a fudgesicle stick to the Shia’s spine so their troops will properly engage. They need to repel ISIS on their own with our encouragement.
