My father was in North Africa during WWII. He didn't talk about it at all but he did NOT like Arabs. I think some Arab cheated my sergeant-father when he was on some military-related business, buying food for our troops. He never forgot it.

Are Islamic parents capable of the same feelings as normal humans, or is everything in the context of the Koran?
I can only presume the capacity of Islamic parents to possess and utilize a full set of human emotions all depends on how literally they take the Koran to be their guiding light. I have met some muslims who do not seem to be in a perpetual state of rage. I’ve met some pleasant and personable store owners, doctors and dentists who ostensibly were Muslim.
Certain members of the Muslim faith, like any other religion, are capable of compartmentalizing secular and non secular, or appearing to assimilate into our American society. I don’t like having to presume the worst about people all of the time, and I try to give them a benefit of a doubt until proven wrong. It’s not mentally healthy to constantly see the world through Sh#t colored glasses, but sometimes, one has no choice.
